MSG is not an option, just about every date in late March and early April is booked. Barclays would be their only option at this point and ly doubt they'll do shows even though I'd love it.

Play newly renovated Nassau Coliseum which opens the same week. Same owners as Barclays. It's been 14 years since the melee in Hempstead.

Webster Hall. $25 tix, members only. All goes to charity. Think that's what Metallica did when they were in town for GCF. Would be nice to have one of those

My brother got Row 1 in front of James and he actually gave us the fist bump during a song. Got picks, the setlist fromt he stage.

AND the band reps grabbed ticket-less fans outside who were waiting for hours for a miracle and brought em in for free. Bet your brother had a blast. Since I was a child in the early 90s and obviously weren't in any club shows, this is also my PJ dream

Edit: Which I must say, show tapings are free!! Do they need to recoup venue rental or something? They'll get TV ad revenue. Why do they need $500 for lower level tickets?

Both me and my husband tried right at 10am. Nothing. Guess we'll be watching on TV, which is saddening since we're 30 mins away!

To be honest, I was lukewarm on going anyways. IMO it is an event better suited for television. It is probably a lot of sitting around and hearing people talk. PJ will play just a couple songs and they will be of the ilk of Alive and Jeremy... then join everyone at the end for a mess of a "Dont Stop Believin" or RITFW... Not even sure how well each individual band is sound-checked or if it is just optimized and cleaned up for HBO.
Fair enough, I hear you there. It would be much worse to lose out of a full show, but I guess since it's a one time thing it would have been cool to go. But you're right, the whole thing is set up for television specifically, not the audience. So it will be like watching a live taping to a show.

I think the money goes to the Hall. And it's on HBO so there aren't any commercials. Also the ceremony used to be in the Waldord Astoria hotel and you had to pay a ton of money for a table.

Now we are talking! What a show that was (and could have been) - still one of the best opening sets I've ever experienced.

Sorry to hear. i'd expect tix to be reasonable on secondary sites closer to the event.

Possibly, but after a quick ebay search, cheapest are already 3x face...
Don't use ebay. Put word out on the facebook groups and monitor stubhub as it gets closer. People panic right away and pay ungodly amounts. Just wait till it gets closer.

In my experience, 7-4 days prior for arena events is the way to go. Start watching at 20 days out.

However, I dont know why anyone would goto this for only 3 songs and 6 hours of talking, OMG. How many EvenBros get escorted from this show.

I tried for to get tickets today for some friends and like everyone else come up empty. Now I'm really glad
I took what I could get during the ciit presale. I guess we shouldn't be surprised there was so much demand.
But I would to know who bought all of those $2,000 seats because it seemed the first 2 sections on either side
closest to the stage were $2,000.

My guess is that perhaps people are going to support and congratulate the band and not treat it as a full concert experience. There are also other bands being inducted so it isn't all PJ all of the time. Perhaps not your thing at all and that is fine. You have to know your limits. I have plenty of friends here excited about going and I am thrilled for them! :plus_one:

Never cease to regret posting to these boards...just so you know "You have to know your limits" is snarky and uncalled for. I was merely sharing my ticket strategy and reminding people this is not a "full on show" so it may not be so bad to lose out. Have a great day.
