Any idea why Low Light was used as an opener for Wrigley I?

It was the first one on the set list probably.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

So that we could all question Eddie Vedder's setlist choices from a show five months after the fact.

But really it was played so that the men waiting for their girlfriends who got stuck in the long restroom line wouldn't get pissed that they missed a Brain of J opener.

Not sure but I saw it as an opener in 2008. That may have been the first and only other time it opened. Feels like an odd but interesting choice.

Because it's from Yield, and if you're going to play an epic show, why not pick something from Yield? :)

I quite like the song as an opener, I think the song has really evolved over the years and theyre playing it better than ever, mind you they hardly played it at all until the 2013 tour where it became a semi regular tune. Glad I got to hear it at the Melbourne BDO almost three years ago to the day.

Agree, I like it early in the set. Never heard it as an opener... I think... but that would be great I think.

Definitely this ^. I thought it was a good choice and worked well followed up with Release.

My guess was they were going to start with Release (similar to Fenway 1), but Ed wanted to mention a fan that spent 4 days (I think that was it) in the GA line prior to the song, so they bumped it to number two and opened with Low Light so they could start right into a song when coming on stage.

All the ballpark shows seemed to start out with slower tracks. Opening with Leash with 10k people still trying to find their seats would've turned the field into one giant GA pit.
