I voted for Trump. I'm PROUD to be an american. I'm a white male (shock). I served 10 years in the Air Force. I love Pearl Jam. I don't agree with the bands political views at all. I STILL love their music.I'm steadfast about my views, Nothing you can say or do will EVER change my opinions. I felt the same way about Obama as you all feel about Trump so I can relate where you are coming from. I however, accepted that he won,I never felt the need to openly confront others and tell them that their views were wrong or racist or destroy their property, he was my president and that was that. The sun continued to shine every morning, I continued to go to work, I paid my taxes...life continued. I promise you that it will all be fine. There may be a few stumbles along the way, just like there were the last 8 years but in the end, we are all gonna be fine. I can't wait for the next shows and I'm hoping that by that time, everyone will have calmed down and we can all continue to enjoy the music that we love regardless of what we think of each other.

I find it weird that you list your resume in your post as if it makes your opinion some how more important. You say that you're a PROUD American but what is your definition of America? America is a melting pot made up of many different nationalities and religions. I find the disparaging things he's said about Mexicans, Muslims, and Women quite Unamerican. We are all proud Americans and that's why we protest. Maybe next time just say "Im really lucky that I was born a white male and raised Catholic". Because that's the only group that Donald Trump hasn't offended. And you say you love pearl jam but just know 70% of their lyrics run in contrary to what Trump stands for. But maybe you just like the guitar parts which is understandable. Fox News propaganda had you guys believing that Obama was an extreme socialist who was going to take all our guns away...that didn't really pan out did it? For all of its flaws the affordable healthcare act has saved thousands of lives and prevented many families from being financially ruined due to hospital costs. I think we can all agree he's a good person at heart regardless of what you think about his politics. Trump on the other hand won't turn over his tax records has been married three times and cheated on ALL of them, says racist things, lies about everything and had the Russian government and Jim Comey(FBI) help him get elected, they're not really comparable....sorry. I've said it once and I'll say it again the Republicans have the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of the government you should be very very happy right now. So when I see Trump supporters chiming in on a protest thread I really feel you're not trying to convince us that Trumps good you're trying to convince yourself
Finally saying that you will NEVER change your view of Trump is just ridiculous. You shouldn't follow anyone blindly.

Agreed. Nice post. The never change my opinion thing struck me too, which is why I decided not to respond. Maybe there are people trying to actively convince you to change your opinion, but that doesn't mean having a conversation or discussion isn't capable of enlightening you to facts and knowledge you didn't consider. About the only thing I will attribute never to, is hate. There is no room for that type of thinking.
    It's a hopeless situation...
