Your biggest PJ regret

Let's hear them, mine is NOT going to see them in 2010 when they played Columbus. I would of had to take the night off so I thought to myself I've seen them enough... dummy! I'll probably never finish Backspacer. I'm missing more songs off that album than any other one.

    I have quite a few of these.

    1. My broke recently HS grad ass not getting tickets to the '98 show in Minneapolis. What a tour I missed.
    2. Deciding to take my sister up on Monday Night Football tickets instead of driving to Chicago for my 21st B-day and seeing one of the best shows of the '00 tour. Still own the boot so I can torture myself every now and then.
    3. Buying tickets and planning a trip to Bonnaroo in '08 to see an awesome bunch of artists including PJ only to be told by work that I couldn't have off because of a mandatory department training. Had to sell my tickets on Flea Bay for a $100 less than face value. Then of course PJ proceeds to break out WMA for the first time in over a decade and blow the place away with an amazing version of Porch.

    Never again Pearl Jam. I will be there when I can!

    Benaroya and Vancouver 2009. Benaroya was a benefit show and 10c did a lotto kind of thing with different tiered ticket prices. I was in university and I only won the option to buy the most expensive tickets. Given how bad the Canadian dollar was and how much they were I opted not to go :( I'd seen every Vancouver show since '98 but I missed '09 because I was living in Edmonton. We opted to travel not to miss the seattle shows, and the Vancouver show got announced after we booked our travel plans. There was so few fan club members at it that everyone got awesome seats. I remember seeing breathe and love reign 'oer me on the setlist. Still bummed i missed that one.

    Oh, Jeez... I can't bear to do this but I will.

    I saw the band for the first time in 1998 (Auckland) and didn't see them again until 2011-09-11 (Toronto 1). That's 13 Years between shows! Admittedly, I wasn't a big concert goer until recently (2011) but it breaks my heart to know that the band played Toronto in 2000, 2003, 2005 (along with three other shows within a 100-or-so-mile radius), twice in 2006, and 2009 and I missed all of those shows (along with Buffalo 2003 and 2010). Even worse, I absolutely loved that 2011 Night 1 show but still didn't go the next night!!!!

    For what it's worth, I saw them in London 2013 (and paid a steep price for those Stub Hub tix), Buffalo 2013, and BOTH Toronto shows this past spring. SOOOOOO good.

    Not becoming a member in 2006.
    Not buying the PJ20 Patagonia backpack because I thought at the time that it wouldn't have gone so fast.
    Not travelling a lot during my undergrad and postgrad years. I could have seen at least some UK shows in 2009, 2010 (missed the Hyde Park show for 3 months) and 2012 (missed the IoW show for 6 months).
    Not purchasing the orange RNDM t-shirt from the Acts era.
    Not going (alone) to the Trieste (a Leatherman show! If I had know... Last minute cancellation from a friend), Berlin (long shot anyway) and Leeds (stupid English transportation means) 2014 shows.

    Missing EV at the Tower Theater 6/25/11.
    Between songs Ed told a story about how passionate Philly fans were and mentioned me personally as an example, then asked if I was there in the audience. I often wonder what may have happened if I was, It literally drives me crazy to have missed that night.
    Still never heard the boot and need to before I die, just to torture myself a bit more , so any help w/that would be greatly appreciated.

    No shows between '00 & '08.......

    I missed the Boston experiment among other shows because of my 8 year hiatus. (I scaled back on the shows I was going to for a while. Luckily, I wised up before it was too late.)

    No shows between 1993 and 2003. Granted I wasn't in a position to have lots of funds to travel to see them but still a dumb move on my part. To make it worse I did have a ticket to Toronto 1998 but due to a recent breakup the plans and my ticket disappeared.
    It makes much more sense to live......in the present tense.

    Not going to a show until 2013. It wasn't until I became a 10C member that year that I was aware that they were still touring. All through my high school and college years I just assumed their shows were few and far between. Now I won't miss an opportunity.

    Not attending the 2003 Atlanta show. That's still their last non-festival concert here in Georgia. Love the boot though.

    had an envelope with $10 in it to send to join the ten club...in early 1992. never sent it in. took me 6 or 7 years to finally join. i'd have a ridiculously low 10c # if i had done that. AHHHHHH

    Not going to PJ20. I'm from the area. Couldn't afford tickets. Should've at least been on the grounds at Alpine Valley to tailgate and listen from outside the fence. I've done that for shows before. Settled for watching the setlist.

    Grabbing a beer and standing in line while they launched into 1/2 Full....I couldn't quite hear the song in line, could only hear the bass/drums. I asked the guy next to me what the song was and he said "I think it's 1/2 full" and I about shit myself.

    I'd say not seeing them until 2006 but actually I've come to terms with that. Been lucky to see many incredible shows and almost every single studio song when including EV solo shows as well.

    I have a few recorded shows from that tour, like 6/18, but not that date. Someone HAS to have it or maybe im the only maniac who records everything.

    Oh what a list it is... Fortunately I pack them all up in storage just like Ed's suitcase room.
    Most notable regret though would be missing out on the Calgary show in the summer of 1993. That was probably my PJ pivot point.
    A buddy had gotten two tix for us, plus his parents were going to drive us down. I skipped out for some stupid reason I'm sure.
    As a high school student it would have been my first concert experience that would surely have established the 'hook' to see them more. I was already a fan boy, but I would have had a better appreciation for the live shows and made better efforts in the forthcoming years.
