I am convinced that I will never own/spin this. Ugh.

I think vault 3/6 are far better.
As a stand-alone setlist, Benaroyal Hall isn't spectacular. People go ga-ga for this because it's colored, numbered, limited edition and for charity.
I actually do think it's spectacular as a stand alone bootleg. I couldn't care less if it's coloured, numbered, or limited. I would love for them to release it again on black vinyl and wrapped in a brown paper bag. I think it's a phenomenal show. I think it's so good I actually spent money on the CD, which I NEVER do, since I can't afford the vinyl.
I would bet many fans have this as their number one listened to live show. It has nothing to do with some limited vinyl-thing. It's an amazing show – from setlist to perfomance to the sound of it.
It s not even top 25 bootlegs for me, Never has been never will. I think it s a way overrated show due to the limited vinyl and it is all acoustic. I can't even remember the last time I listened to it.
The fact that it is all acoustic is what makes it special for me, and what I think makes it deserve the attention it gets. Not sure how you figure it being acoustic amounts to it being overrated.

one of the reasons that it's overrated is because it is all acoustic along with it being so limited on vinyl. gorge, red rocks 2 and boston 3, 03 all had better acoustic sets imo. hell bridge 94 and 96 was way better than benayora.

So you basically think Benaroya was their worst acoustic show? (I have no idea how many all-acoustic shows they've played, but I'm thinking it's not many). I really like the Benny setlist myself.

of the six or so acoustic sets/shows they ve played I listen to benny the least. Set list was not my cup of tea. Gorge on the other hand.....wow.
Imho if this isn't a rare vinyl then it s not even a top ten show from 03.

I personally wouldn't consider Benaroya an "acoustic show" since there's some electric guitar stuff going on.
I kinda wish they kept it entirely acoustic though.

Even though this auction is being put on by Tenclub for charity, it will set the new standard for sealed Benny's!

1476/2000 just went for a cool $1900 on eBay. Not even perfectly sealed.

Yikes, my guess it was to the person who lost out by a hair in that last VIT2016 auction.

$1900 is just silly. I understand it when it's for charity, but just for the vinyl is an example of impatience IMO.

Agreed. People are always willing to spend a little more when it's for a good cause, but that shouldn't affect regular private sales.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I also agree. Knowing the money is going to charity is one thing, but I'd be hesitant to pay that kind of money for a private sale. $1900 USD is about the annual salary of a cab driver in Bali, or the income for FIVE families in the Congo. I'm not saying that charity has to go to foreign countries, as there are plenty of children in need in the US, Canada, and other "first world" countries, who are malnourished, abused, etc...

I'm sure there's a counterargument to that but still, the thought of spending that much on vinyl is kind of sickening.

And I'm sincerely not criticizing anyone who has sold one for that price, I'm speaking more to the craving/want/desire/ability to drop that kind of money on 4 records.

If a speck of dust sells for $20,000 in order to help a fucking charity, I don't care. Has my swearing offended anyone? Peace. I'm all cranked up now. Time for a milkshake.

I don't think anyone is questioning the money raised for charity. It was the comment that a regular Benny sold privately would be worth more as a comparison because of these charity auctions.

I hope so, then the price wouldn't be so ridiculous.
I don't care how rare it is, if they printed only 5 copies and was hand delivered by the band it still aint worth over 2 grand.

I would of guessed 10c might have done an overrun a few hundred maybe? The trickle out on these auctions. I think there were 50 sold at the pop up in '13, and maybe 10 at the one before that. Even if there's only 2200 or 2300 copies out there.... it's still not alot.

I guess it's worth what people are willing to pay. It's not like I'd even consider selling my copy for 2000 :) It's not easy getting people to cough 'em up.
