As I understand it, Cruz didn't ask a single question about Flynn, it's good to know he has his priorities straight.

Another concerning thing about yesterday's hearing was Trump's live tweeting as he was watching. He is so mentally weak and lacking of control over his emotions, and that was on full display for all the world to see. We are so f'ed when a real crisis eventually comes up.

America is the laughing stock of the world right now, and rightfully so.

Besides the fact that he had this smarmy know it all half grin on his face when he was asking his questions. He is such a sleaze ball. There's no way he should hold a seat in the senate. Yates was great though. She didn't get arrogant, she was calm and very well prepared. As much as they were trying to push for it being a personal decision by her, she laid out everything very well.
    It's a hopeless situation...

James Woolsey, former Director of the CIA, having served republican administrations and the Trump transition team is warning about Russia hacking the 25% of internet enabled voting machines (Diebold comes to mind but I might be mistaken) that leave no paper trail for recount purposes. What exactly is the Trump Administration doing about it? What are the mostly republican governors doing about this? Oh yea, they don't care as long as they can cling to power.

I was just thinking about this and what was so impressive about her yesterday was her ability to formulate clear and understandable answers. Which isn't something we should have to set as a standard. We're so used to double talk, nonsense and outright lies that it's refreshing to hear someone who actually knows what they are talking about and is truthful.

Is anyone tracking the number of Russia-Trump related headlines? In all of their brilliance? Brilliant lights of brilliance brilliantly shining will expose the truth, in case you were in the dark. Or blinded by the light of Trumposian brilliance.

I'm still waiting for the whole Trump Russia story to die down, as predicted by so many resident scholars in this thread probably as far back as page 2 (in the event you didn't notice, we're on page 52 & there's no end in sight).

Well, there's this brilliant article headlining today, maybe the last?

Definitely the last headline, I mean it has to be right?

We all know the Trump supporters are never wrong, so I expect this story to disappear any day now.

as much as I want to believe this is the  beginning of the end, do we really believe that trump wasn't shielded from any possible proof of knowledge? i'm not saying he's brilliant, but you can't just pull this stuff off being an amateur, and I can't imagine they'd be dumb enough to leave a paper trail that leads back to Trump.
    Darwinspeed, all.

I was wondering that today.. are they that stupid or do they think that we're that stupid?  But then I read an article in Politico today where the WH thought that Democrats and Republicans would both applaud the termination and this blow back is taking them by surprise.  So the answer is... they're that fucking stupid.

I wonder the same.  I think I would have more concern if Trump was loyal to those who are loyal to him, but if he keeps firing everyone who does his dirty work, he won't have anybody to protect him from himself.  Somebody has legitimate dirt on him, at this point it seems likely that he will fire one of the wrong people at some point.
    Comey is now an enemy.
Flynn is just going to save himself, Trump be damned.
    Who's next?  Sessions?  Tillerson?

Arrogance and pride almost always lead to the downfall of any person who has every had this type of power and abused it. Nixon was a smart guy, but you get greedy and start pushing the envelope more and more. It's hard covering your tracks everyday. We will never fully know the extent of what has gone on and it may well be only a minor part of it that takes down the whole shit show.
    It's a hopeless situation...

It has died down. 50 pages and not a single new detail. Just because you won't stop talking about it doesn't mean you are any further ahead. I don't doubt you will still be talking about it for years to come.

How can you say that after two different sets of subpoenas in the last 48 hours? Are you delusional or not paying attention?
