What's the average age of PJ fans?

riley540riley540 Denver Colorado Posts: 1,128
I'm curious to see how young some fans are, and how old some fans are? I know my local frame shop said he has some PJ customers in their late 60s. My high school Econ teacher was 30 and he was a huge fan, and I'm 21 and also a huge fan. Curious to know if there's any teens on here, and if there's any elders ;)

I feel like it's something when a band has such a wide range of listeners.

Awesome! My dad introduced me to the basics (he had Vs, Vitalogy, and the Tokyo 2003 bootleg for some reason lol.) My favorite song when I was about 5 was Last Kiss, which we had on the bootleg lol. I was a casual fan, though, of course. My dad had seen them in East Rutherford in 1998, and he told me stories of the amazing shows they put on with crazy encores. So when they scheduled Wrigley in 2013, that's kinda when I started becoming interested. I got shut out of tickets from TM (then the tickets went on sale for $250 a piece lol) so I unfortunately didn't get to go. Then they released Mind Your Manners, which is when I started looking forward to the lightning bolt release. Once I got my hands on Lightning Bolt, it was a done deal lol.

Got to see them my first time in Milwaukee 14, met and chatted with Ed near the parking lot after the show (who was my hero at the time, still is!). Best night of my life! That's when I knew Pearl Jam wasn't a phase, it was a family that I just joined.

Joined the 10C January 1st 2015, bought all the albums up (and received some as gifts from amazing members here), and haven't looked back since. Got to go to both amazing Wrigley shows this summer as apart of the best weekend ever.

I used to be sad that I missed so much of Pearl Jam's history, but then I realized that the story has just begun. Better to tune in late than never!

Super super awesome story!! I was in high school and I went through a phase of changing friend groups and was confused. I turned to music. I'd always been a music person, but had just started dabbling with PJ.

It really just took off from there. My senior year of high school my friend and I traveled from Alaska to Spokane Washington to see them. It was unreal. The next year I caught the Denver show, and then the global citizen festival.

Then this year I was lucky to get GA tickets to MSG night 2. I was dead center on the rail with my good friend. Amazing experience. And now I'm super excited for this weekend. Seeing temple of the dog on Sunday and Monday here in Washington :)

    Your math makes no sense.
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.
