I think Neil should play a Pearl Jam song this time around.

I was looking up the lyrics to 1/2 Full and noticed this...

So, I looked around the lyrics page and found the following songs that list 4/7/17 as the last played:

    1/2 Full
    Deep
    Interstellar Overdrive/Corduroy
    Let Me Sleep
    Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted
    Hard To Imagine
    Mind Your Manners
    Pendulum

Seems odd. Usually the Rock Hall has them play songs the general public knows.

Pretty sure they are being inducted because of them having big pophits and therefore being the biggest rock band in the world for a period of time.

And close out the show with "Masters of War" and everyone on stage.

It will be interesting to see if they play Even Flow/ Jeremy/ Betterman or if they do something more pointed and play Porch/ Grievance/ Soon Forget/ Down, etc. They are where they are because they made a conscious decision to do what felt right to them instead of doing what someone else thought they ought to do, so anything's possible.

I'm confused as to why their more widely-known material is being termed 'pop hits'. I'm not sure it was PJ's intention for those 'pop hits' to become as popular as they did. Sorry these types of songs may bother you (for whatever reason), but there is no denying that those songs made a significant impact to the music world, they are their most known, still required immense talent, and PJ will forever be linked to them.

These songs don't bother me at all

I just hope they play what they want to play, not what is expected of them to play

    Just like their set lists

Now that we know who's going to give the induction speech, it's even more likely to hear Rockin' In The Free World. I also like the idea of them playing the Momma-Son trilogy in right order. :plus_one:
    Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024 / London 2024

Given the induction into the Hall is a celebration of their career they'll most likely play songs to cover the whole gamut. As much fun it is for us, the fans, to play that game, it'll be even more fun to see how Pearl Jam represent themselves. Not an easy task considering they've a bounty of stellar songs but only a scattering of 'hits' from which to choose. Something from Ten and/or Vs. seems obvious. What (and) do they choose to represent the other albums (80% of their studio album output)? And while it's their own music that earned them the honor, it's the influence of others that are the roots of the tree...segue into a blistering RITFW combo w/ Uncle Neil!

    Setlist prediction:
    EWBTCIAST
    one song from albums 3-10
    Alive
    RITFW

What I think it will be:

Corduroy (felt like they played it every night last tour)
    Mind Your Manners
    Just Breathe
    Alive

What I think it should be:

    Chloe / Crown
    Alive
    Present Tense
    Future Days

I like the 2nd list- partially- I would love for them to play Chloe/Crown, Alive, but I would add Mind your Manners or World Wide Suicide instead of Present Tense and Future Days.....
PEARL JAM in 2024! Dark Matter and MORE ! THANK YOU!!
Peace Love & Pearl Jam forever!!

I think they do 3 hits and 1 deeper cut. Something like...

    Alive
    Elderly Woman or Corduroy
Footsteps or Crazy Mary or Angel
    Lightening Bolt

They always have a surprise up their sleeve, and that crowd will be 3 quarters PJ fans at least.
