News has been getting a little better for us down here in Miami and south Florida! However we are not completely out of the woods. Everybody stay safe out there.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Was able to evacuate my 91 and 93 year old grandparents, mom, and dog. We are staying at a hotel with my aunt and uncle and their family. I think our governor did a great job getting people to evacuate early. Stay safe everyone.

Huge game! Hopefully we can come away with the W! Looks like Richt finally has this program back on the right track.

I see a skull / scary face in this radar image. The eye is the eye ('natch), a nose in the middle left, and an evil grin with teeth on the bottom left. Matthew, stay away from me.

So far in the most southern part of Palm Beach County, it isn't as bad as some of our everyday rain showers that move through. I still have power as of now, and the eye is already off the coast of this area. So, looks like this area dodged a bullet, hopefully it doesn't come back with a vengeance if it loops around like they're thinking.

For the ones north of here in FL, GA, and SC, hope all is well up there as the storm passes. Be safe!!

Going to the game? Have my tickets in hand. Think this year we'll break our streak of losses against FSU!!

Not going to the game unfortunately, didn't pick up season tix this year. But I think we get over the hump and loss streak with this game.
I think their defense has been exposed, and we can really capitalize on the passing game. Enjoy the game, I think we got this one.

I didn't pick up season tixs either, but got a pair for just this game when they sold single games before the season started. If our D can stop Dalvin Cook, then we have a real good chance of picking up the W.

That is the biggest focus for our defense.

Didn't really mean to steer of course here. Hope everybody north of palm beach along the coast have gotten themselves to safety. These people are not dodging a bullet that south Florida dodged.

Very true, sorry about that as well.

Have a friend just north of Daytona, think he'll be getting some rough weather over night, hope all up that way stay safe. Yes, we dodged a bullet down here in S. Fl for sure.

I'm supposed to fly into Charleston SC tonight for my nieces outdoor wedding on Sat. I'm thinking my travel plans may be impacted, and that I should forego the high heels and wear rain boots.

We drove out of Orlando yesterday around 3pm after 6 days at Disney. Thought about sticking it out but we have to drive back to NJ and I was worried about the road conditions and availability of gas along 95 if we stayed until the weekend. The bonus was that the Magic Kingdom was pretty empty yesterday and almost everything had little to no wait so the kids had a great last day.

It was very eerie seeing all the locals prepping for the storm and a lot of the east bound exits in Georgia and South Carolina were closed along 95 by the police to keep people from going closer to the coast. I hope everyone is ok down there and stays safe.

I'm in the Charleston area, about 10-15 miles inland. We're staying put. Since no threat of storm surge at our house we won't be getting the worst of it. Predicting a foot of rain and 50mph winds..

We stayed through Hugo too, hope that experience helps..

I live right about 8 miles west of a bridge that connects Bluffton SC to Hilton Head Island and I'm hoping for the best but they're saying it could get pretty bad.

My Aunt decided to stay home. Her local news is reporting the hurricane is headed east back out to the ocean ....but she also said its a slow destructive storm.

Anybody else read about that Matt Drudge guy saying that the evacuations aren't really warranted and that it's just a Government plot to raise awareness for global warning? What a prick..
