Vegas hasn't been played since '06... Just sayin'...
Yes! And New Mexico hasn't been played since 2000.
I think they will do some tour even if it's 3 weeks in Europe or whatever at SOME point 2017 calendar year. They've done that every year pretty much since 2002? (not sure if 07 had dates)

I don't think they'll tour at all in 2017. They've done Lightning Bolt 2013-2016 steadily with little to no break.
No break? They work at most 30 days a year! Lol
Right, look at 2015. They toured for the month of November. That's it. If taking a year off isn't a long enough break then I don't know what is. Anyway, we know PJ's touring schedule. Look at the last 10 years and it is easy to expect that they'll play their 15-25 shows again in 2017. Easy money. Pays for their non-PJ interests and charitable endeavors. They need PJ for money.
They've straight up said all the money they made from Ten they can live comfortably. They don't need to do anything for money...

But by playing 20-25 shows per year, they are also keeping a lot of other people employed and providing them with comfortable livings. I don't doubt for a second the band feels an obligation to have their crew and anyone else employed with the Pearl Jam machine taken care of.

Lightning Bolt has been brought to US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Mexico & South America. Tour cycle over. Bring me a new LP!
Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. And that would be super cool of Jeff tried something new with Three Fish.
Barely came to Canada...
I know, and I didn't even see them in Pemberton. But they have nothing left to tour on, and I feel like I really need to see what they can come up with now. I need some new music to think about, and I really want to know what direction they are going to take now. I am aching for some more unique PJ creativity and artistry after what I see as a long period of lacking that (10 years since S/T!). I want to see if they still have it in them, basically. Plus, their shows need some new material.

If they're playing Europe summer 2017, an announcement would be in December or January (going by previous Euro tour announcements).

Exactly. Where does Jeff get the money to pay for these skate parks? Where does Mike get the money for HockeyTalker records? I'm sure they use the profits to do a lot of charity with. It would be stupid to walk away from a money making machine like Pearl Jam if you were serious about helping out charitable endeavors.
They may still have a little LB love left for West Coast and Europe. Seems like a few rumors on this thread and others have stated likewise. Would assume any West Coast activity would be in the spring, so potential announcement would fall between Oct-Dec, followed by early summer small Euro. Would love some new material in '17, but appears to be a long shot at best.
Cleveland in the spring ( hall of fame), couple of shows in Detroit to close out the Joe . New record in the late fall

Hmm if they did the West Coast where would they play? They did Colorado/British Columbia Last Year. Edmonton/Calgary/Missoula/Seattle/Portland/LA/San Fran/San Diego/Vegas/Phoenix/? Maybe even Boise for good measure, that was a helluva show, but they've never gone back, so I assumed the market was too small.
The one thing that would weird is the band spaces the West Coast tours quite far. They don't tour here nearly as much as the East coast. If they're thinking about making a new album wouldn't they wait until after the album drops to tour? IE would they tour in 2017, if they were planning on dropping an album in 2018 and touring for it? West coast usually doesn't get that lucky. Of course best case scenario would be they drop and album and tour on it next year....
I guess I'm pessimistic. If they do tour the West, I'd take it as a sign they aren't very close to releasing a new album. Maybe they'll do a few Gorge shows or something, and then a small tour in Europe. All the big shows in Seattle (except for the Gorge '05) have all been to support an album. 2013 (L.B), 2009 (Backspacer), 2006 (S/T), 2002 (Riot Act), 2000 (Binaurual), 1998 (Yield), 1996 (No Code). They really don't do a lot of bigger shows in Seattle between albums.
new album fall 2017. west coast late 2017, east coast early 2018.. maybe a couple of festival or baseball stadium shows in the summer 2017. And Bridge (it's been a few years)
