So, Pearl Jam with Universal Music Group? What do you guys think we'll see?

Love the vinyl re-issues, but has me wondering what else the band and UMG has up their sleeves? I recall some chat with Jeff earlier this year or late last year where he said there wouldn't be any reissue of No Code or Yield on CD. It doesn't have to be some super deluxe edition, but a nice 2 disc re-issue would be awesome. Thoughts?

Hmm that would kind of be uncool if they released a box after re-releasing the vinyl? Put's a lot of people in a double dip situation?

    Would love to see:

    Live on Two Legs (vinyl)
    Binaural (vinyl)
    Riot Act (vinyl)
    Lost Dogs (vinyl)
    Avocado (vinyl)

Will be the easiest money that PJ ever made. I have a feeling all of these will happen seeing that UMG is reissuing a ton of entire back catalogues due to the vinyl craze.

I know there is a huge vinyl craze but personally I would love something along the lines of what they're doing with TOTD and MLB (but please keep the price more like MLB), demos, unreleased stuff, maybe a live show or DVD. I'd take that kind of stuff any day over the same music we've heard a million times, just in a different format.

I would like unreleased stuff as well but I would prefer in the form of a Lost Dogs II (all compiled together) and a live dvd/blu-ray. I wasn't too impressed with either the Ten or Vs./Vitalogy boxes...the extra tracks just weren't that great. I listen to Lost dogs way more. Plus...imo, some songs just don't need to be released haha Demos of already released songs bore me to tears.

I don't think UMG really affects their plans one way or the other. It seems to be driven Band/PJ mgmt out.

Reissues are fine. I'd be happy if vaults were twice to 4 times a year though.

They do need to just bang out the reissues and get them done, like every other band in the world today. I think a Vault two times a year is totally reasonable. If they did it 4 times, Santos' head might explode if there were problems like in the past. Though, I would totally buy 4 Vaults if they did them.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th

    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2

It seems to me that No Code and Yield CDs are super cheap and easy to attain already, new and used, so I wouldn't be surprised if they chose not to reissue those.

:time_out: I feel like that would be cost restrictive for too many people. I would really rather not see them turn the Vault series into a massive cash cow that requires collectors to spend $400+ CAD a year to maintain the series.

That's selfish of me? Seriously? I was thinking about all those collectors - the majority - for whom $400+ a year is too much money.

Yep, and a full catalog reissue is underway, with Out of Time due next in November.

Not every vault release has to be on vinyl. Maybe 1 a year on vinyl and a few others on CD/Digital. If. Id bet half the people that buy the records dont even open them. Get as much music in the hands of the fans as possible.

Yeah, sure. I was just talking about vinyl releases of course, because those are what's pricey, and also probably the format where people care most about complete collections.

I would rather the vault series sticks to the annual pattern. It's special when it comes around, I get excited... I actually like waiting months to get it.. I listen for five months then it's time to preorder the next.

Quarterly vaults would be like vacationing at Disney every year... Not really special anymore.

As someone who worked on this TOTD project this is accurate.. The band is calling the shots still..Not choosing the tracks or all of the footage. The producer might do that, but the band and their management must sign off on everything every step of the way.. The band has as much input as they choose to have..
