Ed you told us in 95 you would be back for a "free show..free show"..well these kids have some money now..

You can easily fill it for a night..possibly two..

You can't play wrigley again in the next 2-3 years right???

Prime location for travellers..proximity to hotels, restaurants, etc..

Tailgating is fantastic now with the new grounds layout..

We want to hear Let My Love Open the Door again dammit..

United Center pooop..

PEARL JAM PLAY SOLDIER FIELD THE NEXT CHICAGO SHOW!!!!!!

Much more likely they return to Grant Park for Lollapalooza, imo.

I can get behind a Soldier Field show. One of few Chicago venues I haven't seen them play in.

Soldier would be good. But I have a feeling this Wrigley weekend is gonna happen about as often as Billy Joel plays there.

Very possible..but I think billy just plays..with pj, specifically ed, there is all the nostalgia that goes with it. When is enough, enough??

SOLDIER FIELD IN 2018!!! (I don't think they will play Chicago next year)

I could generally do without stadium shows. I enjoy the 'epic' feeling of it, but GA at Wrigley was worse viewing than any 10C seat I have ever had in a regular old arena.

For sure. Been a while since they had a "normal" Chicago show.

I saw them at the UC night 2 2009, and of course it was great seeing them but arena shows fucking blow imo. Outdoor has always been a much more lively time. GA Wrigley was one of the best experiences I'll hopefully be able to live again. But if not I'm totally content. That all being said I'd shit bricks if they played Soldier Field again! I'd say we'd be beyond lucky for another Chicago show next year.

Wow it's been that long...i feel like I've seen them there so many times though. Probably every time there. To each is own..ive seen them in every capacity..I always prefer the outdoor venues at this point of my pj experiences.

I'm just saying, it seems like Billy Joel plays Wrigley every other year and has for about a decade now. I think this will be come a thing because of Ed's nostalgia, his friendliness with the whole Org, and the success of this weekend and 2013. "As often" was more hyperbole. I'm just saying I would not be surprised if for the next few Chicago performances (which happen every 2-3 years), they bypass the UC and Soldier, and they do a Wrigley weekend.

Yeah, definitely prefer outdoor but not many good options in Chicago besides the big stadiums. Northerly Island would be pretty cool.

The downside to Soldier is that its a clusterfuck getting in/out (even with cabs and Public transport) and there is nothing to do in the area. At least wrigley you can go to a bar and walk a few blocks to catch a ride.

The upside is the sight lines are better for reserved.

Actually another downside is supporting the Bears organization.

I'd vote no on Soldier Field. Twice the size of Wrigley. Unless you are upfront you feel like you are a mile away. I like the amphitheater route if you are going to be outside.

Yeah, haven't been there either since they added all those lawn seats. I have heard that it's a lot better now than when they first opened it and it was a complete disaster.
