I've been thinking that too but we all set expectation levels extremely high

Still think its weird that a tour closer is on a Monday night

I think it will too...but I also think it may fall victim to the expectations game. Not a single doubt in my mind that the band has something special planned. Last night at Wrigley, last night of the ballpark series. I just wonder if they can meet/exceed the expectations.

Let me help bring down people's expectations...

They did not play Sirens on Saturday so we are probably going to hear it tonight.

On a separate note, I am very interested to hear what the opener is going to be. Would love to hear Hard to Imagine.

They played for 3:17 Saturday night. I suppose they could bump right up to 11:30 and squeeze a couple more songs in. I don't think they'd want to obliterate the curfew out of fear of not being invited back. And I don't even necessarily think it's about the length of show. It'll be all about song selection and I'm sure Ed has something special planned. Some rarities and a special guest I'd assume.

I mean, they hit their usual Ten songs, sing along songs. I think you'll see those again (which fucking rules by the way) but it leaves some space for the weird shit! I think 2-3 more unique ones than show #1.

They could start earlier, if the plan is to play for longer. Technically, the show is supposed to start at 7:30.

I think the only thing they could do to make these baseball shows unique would be more guest artists. They already play 30+ songs a night everywhere, rare tunes, etc.

I was extremely happy with Saturday's show. Sad I couldn't do both but it was a show I will never forget. What a perfect night and my 25th show since '93 for PJ25 :) There were I think 5 songs I've never gotten before and another probably 5 or 6 that I haven't heard at a show in 10+ years. The only shows I've been to that were longer were State College and Denver 14 (tied less than 5 minutes longer that Saturday). I do think they will find a way to up it for tonight, not sure how unless they do a complete Vitalogy and/or bring out Bruce Springsteen or something.

I was happy they skipped Sirens. 3 Backspacer songs was kind of surprising, but it was ok. I think they will do Angel tonight and Gone (which is one my least favorites), and beyond that I have not many predictions. Closers Rockin' & Y-Led for sure.

Yes! I was at both MSGs in 2003 and night 1 (Live at the Garden) was the clear winner. It can happen and I think they'll try their damndest!

Haha! I was referring to MSG 2016 but that just reinforces the point. I think realistically we will see a couple more rare songs and maybe a cool guest appearances but don't expect to see any white unicorns running around onstage with rainbows shooting our of their ass.

Man, I have to respectfully disagree. I have listened to every 2016 show (attended zero) and I don't see how any of them were disappointing in any way shape or form.

Glad i got go Sat and be on the field, amazing experience for a lifelong Cubs fan. Wife who's 8+ months pregnant was awesome enough to let me go down to the show from Milwaukee. Not going tonight and that's ok (gotta save my little vaca i have for the kid ), but definitely jealous of those who do get to go. No doubt in my mind tonight will be one for the ages. All the big hits were played Sat opening the door for lots of rarities tonight. I predict you get "let my love open the door" and a new song called "unfuckwithable"!
