OP I get it. BUT do you have hotel/accommodations already set up if you were to have arrived on time???

If so pick a flight today and we'll help you pay for it. You may miss tonight but you can still enjoy the city and maybe catch the band in between.
Oh please let it rain today.

jpk97uw...I literally left work in the middle of my shift and went to the airport to try and figure out a way. Spirit gave me no options. All I could do was book a new flight for 500 or 600$

Go to Airport and buy a ticket and get on the next flight. We will all help you make up the difference between your Spirit flight and the one you book today.

jpk97uw...you are a beautiful person. And if I thought I could do this I would. But I think the more realistic option is for me to hope I can make it for the second show, and maybe do some good with the first show tickets. Unfortunately there is no way I am making to tonight's show. I have given up on that. Let's just see what good we can do with two fan club reserved tickets.

Oh, Spirit Airlines, you are the absolute worst! I am sitting here in Chicago (night 2 tix) and could have flown Spirit out of Atlantic City for $250 less (wife and I combined, round trip) than the United flight we took out of Philadelphia. I'm glad we chose the United flight. You can never trust Spirit, and like your situation OP, they only have one flight per day AC to Chicago. If it gets cancelled, you're SOL!

    Sorry for your troubles!

is there anyway to donate these wasted tickets to an actual person? I'm trying to find juddboz80's mom a 10c ticket for tonight. I'm sure judd will pay you back op. he's a stand up dude here on the boards.

I wish I could, but I won't be there...... Have one for me & enjoy the show, if these shows are anything like Fenway (which I fully expect they will), they are going to be pretty damn special.

Although it sucks you're missing tonight, Monday's going to be awesome too!

I'm a little jealous, but mostly happy for those who will be there, have fun!

Edit: it's of little consolation I'm sure, but Fenway 2 was better than 1...... Both nights were awesome but night two was other worldly, like top 2 or 3 type performance.

They stopped ticket transfers ages ago. Was able to do one in 09' for LA 3. Seems like after that cycle it was nixed.

This would be sweet. Email tenclub with the info about your flight and Judds recent situation and get this done.

This. I just found out yesterday I'm going to night 2. I'm flying from San Diego round trip for 251. That includes taxes and fees. Lots of cheap prices on Priceline yesterday. I'd be willing to pich in if you can make night two

I'm seeing a RT flight from PDX to ORD from United for 272. Leaves 10:43am arrives 4:45pm in Chicago. Should give you enough time to make show. Get on it

Just make sure the plane is on time. Everything in and out of Chicago is currently fucked. I took a 930 am out of New York and we were delayed 2 hours. It's just gonna get worse as planes are back logged in and out of the area.

The storms in the Chicago area are causing delays as flights are adding time to fly around the storms. All the re routing and forms and waiting for clearance is causing the delays. Once one wave of delays starts its like a game of dominoes.

Good question! I'm glad we flew last night. We were about two hours late thanks to flight delays, and then encountered a huge (car!) traffic jam at O'hare, at midnight; getting from the terminal to car rental took half an hour. I would have been a basket case had we tried to travel today.

And, OP, I feel your pain. We missed four shows in Europe, 2014, due to my husband's passport issues. All I could do was contact 10C and ask them to give the tickets to someone else. I hope you're able to make it to the Monday show.

Oh wow. My buddy is in the air now and I land at 2:00 Monday. Traffic is going to make it a nerve racking day.

We bought new plane tix yesterday even though we were going to have to eat the cost of our tix on Spirit from Boston. We just arrived and found out our Spirit flight got cancelled too with no other flights.

Was hoping for a better outcome here.....sorry just read this and was thinking.....this group on this forum could make this happen more than any other group I could think of. Nice to see people willing to pitch in to cover costs, as that's exactly what I thought I should do. Let me know if there is any other way I can help, as I live in the city.

I just saw this now too and would have gladly contributed to the fund as well. Sorry it didn't pan out for you. I had a similar experience getting to PJ20, had to put $1000 in extra one way flights on Delta when our AirTran flight was cancelled. It was awful. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but am glad you're going to make it to Wrigley 2!

Just wanted to leave a quick update from OP. I ended up flying in day of for night 2 and flew back to Portland the next day (I have barely slept the past 48 hours so sorry if I don't make sense). I am bummed I missed night 1 and a couple extra days to see Chicago but night 2 was great. What may have been even better than the show was the chance to meet fans from literally all over the world. That and all the love on this forum when I was so bummed my flight was cancelled. The kind words and unbelievable offers from complete strangers was enough to make me love Pearl Jam even more (if that is possible). So thank you. I can't wait to keep listening to this band, going great distances to see them live, and especially meeting fellow fans.
