Keeping expectations calm for all of them. There will be some staples/hits for the larger crowds, a few random deep cuts for the 10c to freak out over, and seeing how spaced the Boston/Chicago dates are they will try to melt brains and numb eardrums at all of the shows. I'd be shocked if any feel like they phoned one of the four shows in.

Yeah but Ed loves Wrigley. I've been there probably over 100 times and I don't feel there is such a thing as "been there, done that" at Wrigley Field.
You could easily say the same about Fenway... The varnish never wears off. "Americas most beloved ballpark"

Good idea to keep expectations reasonable. Sometimes it seems like people won't be happy unless a full album is played or there are a ton of deep tracks.

This as well as people and the need for there show to be the best or something "special". Its one thing to discuss which show is the best but I find it really annoying when others downplay other shows to make theres look better.

Agreed. Making in just drinking the kool aid but I think every 2016 show has been stellar!

After Wrigley Storm 2013 they have something more to bring this go around

...and that something is "otherside". That damn storm screwed me out of that song.

    FENWAY 1
I used to always gravitate to the 2nd night for best shows for them but i feel like the last few years in the northeast the first night has been better (worcester 2013, MSG 2016 as examples). I think Fenway 1 is going to be insane as someone else already said... this is a first for them and we all know theyve wanted to play Fenway for a long time! Im not worried about the band at all, they will make it memorable as always... Im challenging us as the fans to make FENWAY an instant classic... we need to be insanely loud!!!!

Looking at the setlists, I am glad I was at the Fenway shows over the Wrigley shows, for the most part, but that's just personal preference. Sounds like the Wrigley shows were amazing, too! I'm just glad I was there to experience any of it!

There are strengths and weaknesses to all four shows. Personal tastes will differ. "I was there" and recency biases will come into play as well. I really expected Wrigley 1 to be the best of the bunch because it was a Saturday night in Eddie's hometown. Failing that my second guess would have been Wrigley 2 because it was last and the band probably wanted to leave everything on the field (no pun intended.) Now I don't think either one was. For me, looking top to bottom, Fenway 2 was the best of these shows. It started hot, it finished hot, the encores were awesome, the band was on fire and so was the crowd. Fenway 2 is tough to beat.

Can't say for Fenway, but Wrigley 2 beat Wrigley 1 for sure. That first set blew my mind, it was like they asked me what my dream set would be and they played it.
