Amazing Live Shows (exluding PJ)

The first concert I ever went to was Neil Young at "Globen" in Sweden in 2001. A boot was released that sounds great and is, not counting Pearl Jam, the live show I have listened to the most during the years. I didn't intend for this thread to turn into a "I was there therefore this show was amazing"-biased thread. But Are You Passionate was, according to me, Neil Youngs last really great album and it sounds so good live. The setlist and Neil and everything was on point so - this is an amazing live show! Take a listen!

Anyone got any other shows by other artists that you think stand out and are AmAzInG?

Neil Young - Massey Hall. This was recorded prior to the release of Harvest, but included many songs from that album. NY's voice was pristine that night, he was talkative and explained his songs before he sang them. The recording is top notch as well, particularly the vinyl.

Mad Season - live at the Moore
    Hendrix - Monterrey Pop Festival
    Hendrix - Band of Gypsy's
DMB - live at Central Park. Maybe not their best, but very accessible for the casual fan

The Post Pop Depression shows were magical. I've seen Iggy live and I've seen QOTSA live, but these shows were off the charts. You could feel the mutual love and respect oozing off the stage amongst the band members, and between the band and the audience. I've never experienced this before, Pearl Jam included. It's not a ding on Pearl Jam, but I think when you have someone who's a huge fan (Josh) who then gets to collaborate with his idol (Iggy) when he's an established musician in his own right and then he gets to bring his buddies in on it, the output is nothing short of amazing. I went to 5 shows that had the exact same setlist and each one was more incredible than the next. Well, except for the last show because the security dude decided to be a jerk to me and only me, but that's not the band's fault.

Chris Cornell's Higher Truth shows have been wonderful too. Having Bryan Gibson on the cello really added another dimension to the songs.

For the Who, I'm partial to the Young Vic 1971 show. I guess they did a few but one of them was released as a bonus disc for one of the Who's Nest rereleases.

    Pink Floyd - Oakland 1977
    Grateful Dead - Cornell 1977
are two of the legendary shows that also happen to have great sounding bootlegs in circulation

I like the Nirvana Halloween show that got put on DVD a few years ago too.
