Ticketmaster free voucher new shows now available

PJINFLAPJINFLA Posts: 673
I noticed that there was a new list of available shows for the Ticketmaster free ticket vouchers.
Of course I went to use one and it wouldn't accept any of my codes. I tried to call Ticketmaster and
their message says all of our representatives are busy you can go to our automated line or call
back. No hold for the next available representative or anything. Typical bullshit.

How do you tell if new shows are added? The last update posted was this on June 24, so I haven't really been looking:

UPDATE JUNE 24 2:00 PM EDT

Over the course of this week, over $10m worth of ticket vouchers have been redeemed and the eligible events have been closed. Please check back periodically for event listings as we anticipate making additional inventory available next week.

Please note, the Discount Code and UPS Discount Code vouchers can still be used on primary tickets on any event on Ticketmaster.com. Log in to your account to view your vouchers and search for events.

When I clicked on the active voucher link in my ticketmaster account it took me to the ticket code dedicated site with a list of shows with links to buy tickets. As I said mine codes didn't work so maybe it's a glitch and they aren't really available. But who knows since you can't talk to anyone
    at ticketmaster.

I see 17 pages of shows, all with "Voucher Sold Out for this Event". Funny thing is, when you click on any of the numbers at the bottom to move to the next page of shows, for a brief second you see the 'Find Tickets' link which quickly adjusts to "Voucher Sold Out for this Event". Maybe it's just my browser.
Feels like they're just teasing us at this point. This settlement voucher thing has been a complete disaster. Shame on me for believing I'd actually get compensated for the years of paying exorbitant ticket fees.

It's kind of a find/replace thing the code is doing that feels like a tease. They activate the links but have an easy way to flag the 800 events as "Sold Out". It's all automated strangeness.

I'm sure all the sold out shows are still on the page to prove to us angry people that shows were available at some point in time. Some of them reopened a few days after the first batch went out, so occasionally check if there's a show you really want to go to.

I signed up for updates from the settlement site and received an email that the list had be updated and things may be available soon. I see at least one new show that wasn't previously available in the greater LA area.

Here's the text of the email from this morning:

You are receiving this email because you identified yourself as a Class Member who received and is in possession of Ticket Codes as part of the Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Settlement and would like to receive periodic notification of new events for which Ticket Codes may be used.
A current list of events where Ticket Codes potentially may be used toward the purchase of general admission tickets at Live Nation owned or operated venues (if those tickets have not already been claimed by others) will be available soon at http://concerts.livenation.com/microsite/settlement. This list is being updated periodically, so if you are a Ticket Code holder who is interested in attending an event, you are encouraged to check the website frequently.

Please note that you will not receive this email notification each time before events are listed for sale or before new tickets are added to current eligible events. For the most up-to-date information regarding eligible events, you are strongly encouraged to visit http://concerts.livenation.com/microsite/settlement frequently.

Please note that the number of tickets made available for each event is limited and is first come, first served. To the extent there is high demand, tickets for some events listed at http://concerts.livenation.com/microsite/settlement may not be available for very long. Once the tickets made available for a specific event have been claimed, you will not be able to use your Ticket Codes to acquire tickets for that event.
If you are interested in using your Ticket Code(s) towards the purchase of event tickets, please visit www.ticketmaster.com and log on using your Ticketmaster username and password, or visit Ticketmaster’s mobile website, which can be accessed by either typing in ticketmaster.com, m.ticketmaster.com or www1.ticketmaster.com on your mobile phone or tablet.

I got my vouchers to work for three shows last week, but it was super early in the morning when I did it, and it also wouldn't let me do the free e-ticket, it would only work if I actually choose the mail the ticket option, which of course is 3.50. So, ticketmaster still charged me the 3.50 to mail out each set of tickets. Which, is dumb, but I was over trying to get them to work, so I figured paying them 10.50, was better then nothing.

Got my email from LiveNation. Only a couple of shows in my area, but I grabbed tickets to Foreigner and Cheap Trick in Sept. I got a freebie last year, and a freebie this year. Still have a bunch of vouchers, so hopefully more shows will be added.

That will list the shows in your area, and there's also a link to check for available vouchers in your account.

    One event in Boston.

What a complete rip-off and shitty "settlement" terms.

I have so many free vouchers and discount codes, they'll all go to waste at this rate.

Let's not kid ourselves, someone is plotting to follow Nickelback on tour this summer with free tickets. They might only do it to tailgate and blast Pearl Jam in the parking lot while Nickelback is on stage, but I know I'm not the only one thinking that'd be fun.

Evil genius at work. They are offering "free" tickets to shows that weren't going to sell out. In doing so they bring in a larger audience and make more from parking, concessions, merchandise sales, etc.
