Without listening to all 2016 boots at this point, I can only say out of the 4 I saw. I loved all four almost equally but to rank them:

    1 Columbia & Hampton (tied :) )
    2 Greenville
    3 Lexington

Hampton was vastly overlooked in my opinion; thoroughly phenomenal show. It was emotionally powerful, great performance, and well varied setlist with a good balance between rare gems and potent hits.

MSG1 because it was NY and the crowd was amazing. They sounded like it was the 90s again freakin incredible.

For me, Hampton was ruined by the Raleigh announcement. They played my white whale Habit, and still, I say it was the worst vibe I've ever gotten at a PJ show, because you could tell everyone was still in shock about the Raleigh announcement during the show.

I attended both Toronto shows and I can't pick..... I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the bootlegs..... the band was incredible both nights + I've always liked the Binaural album (with the exception of Nothing As It Seems).

Went to Greenville with my wife, had a blast! Got to check a few songs off my list hearing VS top to bottom, Blood and Indifference. Took my son to Lexington, cool setlist! Only his second show and he got to hear gems like Satan's Bed, Education, Army Reserve along with Thumbing and a kickass version of Leavin Here!!!

Went to six shows - in order:

    1. MSG 1
    2. Jacksonville
    3. Miami
    4. Tampa
    5. MSG 2
    6. Ft Lauderdale

MSG 1 and Miami first sets were best ever seen in 20 years.

Quebec City-the set list was awesome, the crowd was fantastic, and of course the band was on fire, but I think the band being on fire applies to every show! :)

For the shows I was at:

    1) Quebec City
    2) Greenville
    3) Lexington
    4) MSG 2
    5) MSG 1
    6) Miami

All great shows though. My vote for show of the tour would be Philly 2 based on reviews or Quebec City based on setlist.

philly 2 just fucking crazy energy!
  • Toronto 1 - the city, the set list, the atmosphere, the crowd and the vibe aligned perfectly and PJ kicked ass.

I would have to go with Toronto 1. It was my 40th birthday for the first time I tried to and got rail and then they dropped my favorite album - Binaural. Down in the pit everyone was losing our minds. It was just amazing. Quebec and Philly 2 are very close as well. Just amazing shows. All eight shows I went to were amazing but those three were just off the charts.
Of the shows I didn't go to I would have to say Greenville as Vs is my #2 album.

Lexington was my only show but very jealous of Philly 2 and Toronto 1.....I can say this though, I really think Pearl Jam is more well received in Kentucky than when they played there in 2003...The atmosphere was completely more happy and energetic, and a whole lot more people. I remember sections being covered with tarps at Rupp in 03. I just get kind of amazed by that.

I'm interested to see how Philly 2 will be on the bootleg

The setlist was good, but Quebec and Toronto 1 were crazier, but what set Philly 2 apart is the energy inside of the arena that night. It was the best atmosphere I've ever experienced at a PJ concert, and it will be interesting to see if the bootleg reflects that or not.

    of the five i saw

    1. Greenville
    2. Philly2
    3. Miami
    Tie: 4.Columbia
    Ft Lauderdale
  • It's a tough call for me, because the shows evoke "best of" feelings for different things. Ft. Lauderdale was immensely special because I heard Footsteps for the first time, with the person I most wanted to hear it with. We heard songs that were meaningful to us, and it was our first show together. So, for shmoopy reasons, that one is up there.

The two nights in Toronto were phenomenal, though. Night #1 was truly something special; you could feel the energy shift and grow with the ripples of "I think it's Binaural..." and then you could feel it change again when we realized what was happening. People were genuinely overwhelmed, and you could feel this sense of gratitude which only served to amp up the energy and emotion in the building. The rest of the night could have a been a loop of Sweet Lew, and I still think people would have been rocking out and losing their minds.

Night #2 was equally impressive, but the feeling was different. It was an equally high energy night, and the feeling of gratitude was palpable again - but this time, it came from the band. You could tell the sentiment wasn't lost on the crowd, and people were on their feet with their hands in the air from start to finish. Plus, Geddy Lee threw a tambourine and started a riot. How often can you say that?

This whole tour has just served to strengthen that "once you go, you know" feeling, and it's been amazing.
"If there was a reason, it was you."

only show I was at was Lexington and that show's energy was through the roof, but to me Toronto 2 takes the cake on paper and from reading people's take who were there, as well as the Greenville show. I think only way you make Toronto 1 your choice is if you are really into Binaural as a whole and that I am not

I GA'ed Columbia and Hampton, and not having heard the Columbia boot yet, I can tell you the crowd brought the real deal energy and the performances were pretty inspired. PLUS an Oceans opener, Marker, Rise, I got Id, Chloe/Crown, Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted, AND Animal finally for me.

I'm not even bringing up being up front for Ed during Porch.
