Some of you may have met Jan, he was from the Netherlands, he and his girlfriend Valerie met because of the song Given To Fly, and she will be attending the Quebec City show, which has been a painful decision, so hoping for a healing moment for her. Jan was a really cool guy, he was a Pearl Jam fan from way back in the day, he showed me pictures from shows he attended going all the way back to 1992. Thinking about Valerie and the void it has left in her life, my eyes are welling up just trying to get through this, just hoping a dedication to them, might bring a little peace for them both and hopefully a beautiful moment can come from this tragedy

    Absolutely, that would actually be very comforting to her as oppose to painful. GTF will very likely get played, but a shout out would make it timeless for Valerie. I would also throw some Light Years in there for her as well.

    almost 4 months later and she still cries all the time, just hoping for a little bit of healing for her, she is a really great person and fellow Jammer and I hurts to see any of us suffer

    The healing process is a very long road. I see what my sister goes through everyday after losing her husband to cancer 3 years ago.

    It just would be a really magical moment, I told her I would try and see if they would play it, I told her I couldn't make any promises, hopefully it can be done, or maybe after GTF say something and dedicate Light Years or Come Back to them. She didn't ask for the request, I just know the pain she has been going through, and felt this might be the best way to help heal (because music can do that), because she really does love Pearl Jam and Jan was the one who introduced her to their music.
