I like the hotel itself. It's not in the middle of the action tho. But the shuttle hits all the hot spots so you can park your car for the weekend and not have to move it. If you don't mind a ten minute shuttle ride it's great. If you want to walk out the door and find restaurants and bars right down the street it's not so great.

shuttle doesnt go to fenway, or close to fenway? I assume it goes everywhere else in town i would need though?

From Copley Square Fenway is about a 25 minute walk or a couple stops on the Green Line. That will be your best bet based on that schedule.

For those of you from Boston I have a reserve at the Hampton Logan Hotel. Does anyone know if you can actually walk to the "T" from here and how long of a ride on the train would it be on normal hours from Beachmont (blue line) to Kenmore? Thanks in advance.

If you wanted to walk to Beachmont from the hotel, you have to walk across a busy divided highway, Route 1A, then I'd guess it would take you about 15- 20 minutes to walk to Beachmont station.
I would assume they have a shuttle that at the very least goes to the airport, you'd be better off taking that to the airport T station (its 3 stops closer to the city anyway).

As for subway ride time, I'd ballpark a half hour (been a long time since I've used the T). take the blue line (from either Beachmont or Airport) to Government Center and switch to green line outbound to Kenmore.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Awesome thanks for the info. I went on there website and there is a free shuttle to and from the T though I am not sure how reliable that will be.

From West Newton you will most likely want to take the commuter rail to Yawkey station which is right next to Fenway. Are you at the Crowne Plaza?

I work right next to the Doubletree in Boston. I park my car in their garage everyday. Nice hotel from what I can see from the lobby and the conference rooms. If I was smart I'd get a room there Sunday night and park my car in the garage then go there after the show and I could sleep a little later and be right where I need to be for work. But I'll probably just save the hotel money and use a sick day on Monday.

I've seen blueprints to convert it into a Tilted Kilt, don't know if construction has started yet.

Oh you are staying ON West Newton Street. My bad, I thought you were staying IN West Newton, which is a suburb on the outskirts of Boston. From where you are you can either walk to the park (probably 20-25 min) or walk over to Boylston Street and grab the green line to Kenmore. Either way, you are reasonably close. You shouldn't have any problems.
