Have been dreaming of a Fenway show for so long, extremely excited.

I will attend one show with my wife, but will go to the other show alone... I'm always at pj with someone who isn't as big a fan, and that makes it hard to get to fan club gatherings, wishlist events, and various parties. I have been to 15 shows since 96 and still haven't spent much time with other 10c'ers. I hope to change that at Fenway.

    Where are we getting beers???

I lived in Boston for a while, and have been going to Red Sox games all my life, there are loads of bars around. Before the foo fighters last summer I think we ended up at The Baseball Taven a couple blocks away. They have a rooftop bar, it was 95 degrees and the beers were cold. Good times.

There are bars all around the area surrounding Fenway. I'm fairly certain every single one of them will be buzzing with pre/post show excitement. The Cask will most likely be my watering hole for those 2 days.

Just a pricing factoid for the people coming in from the south. Amtrak to Boston back bay is roughly $20-30 more expensive than flying . My hotel is 10 miles from Boston logan, and it takes 1.5 hrs from Delaware . The train is a 6 hour ride. No brainer IMO .

Copley is a great spot. Great location in between Fenway and many of the places you'll find yourself visiting on Saturday.

For people who are looking, if you can swing the dollars and are staying the weekend, you could do much worse than Copley.

Ah yes Copley Square, awesome. From MA, saw first game ever at Fenway. Fell in love with baseball there. Hoping to make it for PJ.

Seriously, flying to Boston is fairly cheap, check out flights from AC, much quicker than Amtrak.

I will be there. Just need the tickets. I live 20 min away from Fenway and my best friend is a cool 10 min walk from there. He's a 10c member too so hopefully between the 2 of us we'll get in to both shows. As for the bars: The Baseball Tavern had $3 beers before the Foos show. Get a bunch of beers for cheap $$. On Lansdowne St, you have the famous Cask & Flagon which will be surely packed. Game on, Lansdowne Pub, Bill's Bar, Tequila Rain, Jillians, and Bleacher Bar. Plus Boston Beer Works, Yard House, and Copperfields are all on Brookline Ave. Then a whole other bunch of bars like Remy's on Boylston St. So any of those bars are spitting distance from Fenway. I can't wait. It will be a weekend to remember.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

My buddies and I will be going. Never been to Boston before. We are taking our chances with the Airbnb. It is so much cheaper and we are 15 minutes walking distance from Fenway.

I'm staying in Cambridge at the Double Tree. I'm bringing all four kids so we need a suite and we've stayed there before. Great free shuttle that runs every hour with multiple stops at all the important spots in Boston. And it's only like a $10 can ride to Fenway.

I like the hotel itself. It's not in the middle of the action tho. But the shuttle hits all the hot spots so you can park your car for the weekend and not have to move it. If you don't mind a ten minute shuttle ride it's great. If you want to walk out the door and find restaurants and bars right down the street it's not so great.

Yes. It's right there. I took my kids to a Yankee game at Fenway last time we stayed there. That's the only time we used a cab. Otherwise the shuttle worked great.
