I know a lot of you will roll your eyes and sigh deeply before expressing your disgust at a song request thread but to be honest I don't care.
I turn 40 this spring, May 10th as a matter of fact. As a present to myself I am following the tour from Philly night 1 to Toronto and have now added Wrigley, I have aptly named this the Birthday Tour.
Below are the songs I would really love to hear at any of the eight shows either of the Wrigley shows I am attending, I tried to keep to the top 10 but was unsuccessful, so there are some HMs. So please, please, pretty please PJ can you rock these songs somewhere between Philly and Toronto at Wrigley.
Top Ten
1. Come Back
2. Blood(on May 10th would be super, super awesome =) ) - Ottawa(May 8/16)
3. Rival - Toronto(May 10/16)
4. Bushleaguer
5. Deep - Philly 2(April 29/16)
6. Force of Nature
7. Hold On
8. Bugs
9. Santa Cruz
10. Wash - Quebec(May 5/16)
Honourable Mentions(Pretty Please as well)
1. WHIPPING(for my May bday girl often) - MSG 1(May 1/16)
2. Of the Girl - Quebec(May 5/16)
3. You Are(the guitar in this just, mmmmmmm so good) - Quebec(May 5/16)
4. Johnny Guitar
5. Hitchhiker(I know most of you will be all what????but for me it's necessary)

P.S. Since it is my birthday I would also like to request that you please DO NOT, for the love, I repeat please DO NOT play Yellow Ledbetter in Toronto on the 10th. Thank you so very, very much for this.

Thank you.
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

    HMs = Halts Mauls?
    =)

I hope my favorite May-dayers get those wished-for songs.

Somehow I feel like In My Tree and All Those Yesterdays would be nice additions.

You might have had a chance if you didn't include that P.S.

Pearl Jam hates it when they are requested NOT to play something.
probably because it never fails to come off sounding rude

I know it was a risk but they can play it at all the other shows, I just don't like it(yes I know inconceivable) and would love it if my birthday show didn't end with it. Nothing risked, nothing gained....or something like that.

Thank you, ND, for the Halts Maul request for Whipping. I'll just ride the coat tails of your thread. I'm really very easy to please. Just one song, one short song, would make my tour. But I'll be happy regardless.

Plus Whipping as a tribute to ND's hard hard head is quite endorsable (you too, often, just in a different albeit equally good way).

At such an advanced age would you even remember if they played Yellow Ledbetter in Toronto?

^^^^^^ Post of the decade, right there!

Also, please cover "In da Club" in Toronto for ND.

After her nasty P.S., she was too embarrassed to ask for herself.

ND, I rolled my eyes & sighed...but since you included a 'pretty please' I would be stunned if they didn't play every one of those songs (and ditch YL) in the 'Ronto for you.

Can we add Balls In Your Mouth?

Men age much better than women. That is a fact. Plus thanks to Daddy issues being abound having a little salt and pepper look never hurts a guy in trying to find a lovely lady. That only holds true the other way around for F Me.

I would have to look but I bet I have about that # too.

ND, if you brought an 18 month old with you I bet they would play those songs. (And Tommy is 19 months old so you cannot bring him -- he is too old to get a tambo or request list played.)

I have never seen any of them, hence the request.
I don't need to be close enough to get anything, I just need to be in the building to hear the music. =)

Anyone ever tried bringing their grandparents to see if they get the same effect at the show as having a small child? I was just wondering if old people would get a tambo as well.Oh wait, we already have one really old person who goes to shows.

Hey Rob, ever gotten a tambourine from Eddie?

Not Eddie, but Rob did once catch a tambourine from Gene Krupa.
