So sorry for his family and friends...
There are no words ... all this sensless, mindless violence ... seems so hopeless sometimes...

I think that way sometimes too. I try not to "diminish" it in any way (out of respect for the victims), but honestly, the world is a violent place. nature is violent. animals are violent. we are animals, too. and we get inundated with coverage of this stuff 24/7 on so many different platforms, not just the evening news, it seems bigger than it actually is. there's no break from it. it seems like it is happening again and again and again and again. movies and tv are violent, and while they are fake, our brains process the information is much the same way, like it is actually happening.

this is why I no longer watch the news, I don't read the paper, etc. it's just too much.

    Darwinspeed, all.

    Cheers,

    HFD

Frankly, I found more disrespect in another previous comment (yet that one remains...go figure).

I'm pretty sure most are putting out their thoughts with sincerity and no malice.

first off thank you. I honestly didn't mean to upset anyone. I didn't think it was graphic. obviously the situation itself was very graphic. Next time if i post a graphic video i'll put a warning beforehand.

It sucks when people go to work and don't come home. That should never happen. It's got to be very devastating for his family. The sudden and shocking loss with no time to say goodbye or tell people how you feel about them one last time. What a terrible thing to have to go through for them. A reminder of how precious life is and to never take anything for granted. :frowning:

I've seen a few deaths and accidents where I work. This event shook me. These are our friends and it could have been any of us. I tell my wife I love her every day when I go to work, even when we have had an argument, or something.

I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Apparently they lost some more people from their team, they posted this on their fb wall. So sad.

"While the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France. Our thoughts and hearts are first and foremost with our brother Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser, and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fans whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones.

Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion.

We would like to thank the French police, the FBI, the U.S. and French State Departments, and especially all those at ground zero with us who helped each other as best they could during this unimaginable ordeal, proving once again that love overshadows evil.

All EODM shows are on hold until further notice.

Vive la musique, vive la liberté, vive la France, and vive EODM."

Seems to be an Al-Qaeda attack this time.

Nick was a well respected person in the rock band touring world. I hope they raise lots of money for his fund.

Yet another post from you that is soon to be deleted by the mods.

    Nice, katwoman - and PJ.

Perhaps unlikely, but I hope the mods leave the shitty comment for posterity. Good to know when people spew that way instead of a magic eraser swooping in.
