    They're going to announce for albums that were released in 1990 this year and they will perform next year. Pearl Jam will be eligible next year and if they get in they will get inducted in 2017

    Is this the way they normally do it? I took her tweet as they were up for nomination to be inducted in 2016. Maybe I'm wrong.

    That's what I initially thought, but Nirvana was inducted in 2014 and their first album was 1989. So... 2014 + 2 = 2016 :)

    This past year's inductees debut albums were released in 1989 or prior. This year is 1990. Ten was released in 1991. I know PJ formed in 1990. But it's by when your first album came out. Otherwise Green Day would've been inducted in 2011. Unless they changed the format

    Keep in mind that the band may just have a hold on dates. We have seen this before where the band had dates held but no tour ever happened. I hope its true.
