Since you will be tn Bogota for a short period of time; the places to go will be:

Monserrate (mountain), where you can see the whole city.
Plaza de Bolivar which is a Square in Downtown close to Monserrate, and "La Candelaria"; this is the colorful colonial neighborhood in downtown too.
For Food and Drinks, will be the "Zona T"

There will be a PreParty on the 24th which might be closer to the venue, will keep you posted here, feel free to ask anything.

GREAT!!! Hope you join us at the Fans Party. When are you arriving? I will be there on the 19th.
Uber is the way to go, I used it 2 months ago when I went to visit some family and is the best way to move around the city, be aware that traffic is kind of crazy so plan with +30mins.

Thanks for the info! Going to try and make it though already have plans that night. I arrive on Monday 23rd and plan to do some sight seeing for a few days before leaving for Mexico City.

Monserrate (mountain), where you can see the whole city.

I'm staying at Hotel B3 Virrey, which from the reviews seems to be in a decent/good location (address is Carrera 15 No 88-36,Chico, Bogotá, 110010, Colombia... familiar with the area?) and not too far from the venue

Lol, had a reservation at Hotel Boyacá Real which is right next to the bar for the Pre Party, but they cancelled saying they will be making some makeover to the building

that area is great! you are close to parque de la 93 (upscale business area, fancy restaurants and bars), zona T or zona rosa (bars, restaurants, malls) is at walking distance (15 mins) safe area
Venue should be like 10mins from your hotel but with traffic (all day except 3am, hehe) expect at least 30+ mins

I just took what Booking.com offered as a solution, a place called Ambar Hotel, which is closer to the downtown area I wanted to visit anyway. They offered to pay the difference (it was a little bit more expensive), and any other expense due to the unexpected change, so I warned them it was farther from the place I was going (the venue) and I would have to spend more in transportation.

Oh, about transportation... I'm a really good walker, and the distances from my hotel to the venue and to the place for the Pre Party are similar to what I walk everyday to go to work. I wouldn't walk back at night, of course, but you said the areas around the venue are Ok. Would it be safe for a girl to get there on foot? (and the same to the Pre Party); If so, is there a nice route you would recommend?

that's great, but a walk to the bar is almost 45mins and to the venue like 1.5 hrs, it might be raining in November, but if is sunny and really want to walk to the bar is fine (used to do it in my 20's but the other way around from university which is 2 blocks from the bar, hehe to downtown to meet friends on fridays):
Addresses in Bogota are simpler carreras will go from south to north and calles from east to west
to the pre-party, just take Carrera 7 (you will be in calle 17) towards the north until you hit calle 44, then you will walk towards carrera 13 until you see the place. Be aware of some homeless asking for money while you walk, if people talk to you don't pay attention, just keep walking.

To the venue is a different story, I will not recommend you to do it, is a long walk and the route is not that simple. Uber would be better.
Please let me know if you have more questions, I am here to help as much as I can not only here but there, the idea is to find a way for people to go in groups at least to the venue and/or pre-party :-)

Well, is kind of far... +/-1.5 hrs, and is not an easy route, coming back would not recommend it at all, but we all might have to walk a lot to get to a point where we can get transportation.

Pre party is not that close to zona rosa, is like 25mins uber ride with heavy traffic (10 mins without traffic if that ever happen).
Is in a central point for all the locals.
