enc 1: In My Tree, Even Flow, Daughter/(The Real Me)/(ABitW)/(WMA), Mankind, Long Road, Leaving Here
enc 2: Off He Goes, Present Tense, Yellow Ledbetter
notes: A nearly three-hour show with a raging pit. The band stops playing several times in an effort to get the crowd to settle down. During 'Porch,' Ed duct-tapes his *entire* body and jumps into the pit. (Thought we'd never see that again!) Just before the first encore, someone throws an "Eddie Vedder for President" t-shirt up on stage. Ed looks at it and says, "Well I'll tell you the truth ... I smoke pot! I didn't exhale though!" Stone asks for a chant of "Stone, Stone, Stone!" before singing 'Mankind.' During the encore, Mike starts playing 'Yellow Ledbetter' after 'Leaving Here,' Ed stops him and they go into 'Off He Goes' followed by 'Present Tense!' Incredible setlist.

Always a show I wanted to have. Purely based on the era (96 No Code tour) set list (amazing) and reviews of people being there.

Unreal shows both of'em took my brother in law the 1st night we wen't nuts in the rain ! took my pregnant wife the 2nd night sat way in the back on the lawn she was about 4 months into pregnancy with our daughter who is now 20yrs old , i begged for security to let me in with a blanket so my wife could sit on wet grass they did these two shows are in my top 5 for sure ....

There was lawn in the back?  Or was it just the back of the field?

I just remember the entire infield being mobbed and the horse shoe shaped stands were fairly easy to find a seat.

I carried a girl out of the center who was under my feet and left her at the EMT this night. Never found out what happened to her. I regret that. 

Then I ran right back up...I'm a pretty laid back dude. Pearl Jam is like being in a bond fire to me. To this day I'm that kid as soon as the show starts. 

I expected to to get older and have other experiences to rival this, but alas...

I can see this whole venue, night, where I sat, parked, came in like it was yesterday. I hope one day VR gets good and they can put me back there. Boy would I pay a lot for that.
