Global Citizen GA Ideas to get Close to Stage

Ever since winning GA tickets I have been trying to think of ways to make it to the first gate and get at least kinda close to the stage for PJ. So I ask a question to everyone going in GA.

1) For those who have been to the festival in the past, are the lines a mess or are they neat and organized? And what time do people usually arrive?

Any responses would be appreciated!

    Yeah, you know what? That 14-year-old girl who's been waiting since 8 a.m. to get close to Ed Sheeran for her first concert doesn't deserve her spot. Fuck her, right?

    I mean, we're Pearl Jam fans, and we're entitled to that rail no matter what.

    My thoughts exactly! And.... I'll be attending with my 15 yo daughter who happens to be a fan of Ed Sheeran but also loves pj. While I'm not interested in cutting in line and think maybe the OP was being sarcastic and trying to stir the pot, I would like hints on how to get as close as possible. We are both willing to line up and put in our time as we are looking forward to a fun day together in Central Park without her little siblings. When and where to line up are my questions and I haven't started looking into it yet.

    Now I'm starting to look like the bad guy. Let me just clear some things up. I understand that people are gonna line up early and they deserve their spot. And I will definitely be lining up early. Don't know how early but early. I'm just wondering how early is necessary for those who have gone in the past. And if worse comes to worse I may have to cut in line if people let me. That's all

    I think your ticket should tell you at which gate you should wait. It looks like those who line up at the east gate might have a better chance of getting closer to the stage, since the west side is where all the VIP sections are. (Just what it look like, though. Pure speculation.) Some folks' tickets, however, might be for entry only at the west gate.

    Still, if every other concert we've been to is any guide, get there as early as possible.

    Put in the time and you should get a decent spot.

    Funny story. Last year in Tulsa my brother and I lined up early to get to the front of GA. When they finally opened the doors and the line was moving some guy (who had not been around all day) came up from behind us and tried to cut it right in front of me. I must have a very nonthreatening look about me. My brother, who happens to be 6 '4" but has a very peaceful soul, reached over me and tapped the guy on the shoulder and said politely "hey buddy if you're trying to cut you can do it anywhere but not in front of my sister". After having spent all day in line we were also very friendly with all the people around us. Nobody would let him in and that guy ended up way in the back of the line where he belonged. Don't cut. It's not cool

    We are lining up on the 25th. I hate how the crowd is set up so no one will be in front of Ed because they have a walkway in the middle for security.
