Good record stores in NYC?

Does anyone have a favorite or a recommendation for me? I'll be in NYC for a few vacation days starting tomorrow and would love to find a good record store to check out.
Thanks

Rough Trade in Brooklyn is good. Go there and go to the Brooklyn Breweri. That's two three hours well spent in my opinion.

Rough Trade in Williamsburg - Mostly new records, I don't recall seeing used records. It's an awesome space, they have a cafe and books and for whatever reason ping pong tables. Make sure you check out the Manhattan skyline by the water

Generation Records - Probably largest selection in Manhattan

Other Music - small but good selection.

Bleecker Street Records - they have two store cats. Prices tend to be a smidge higher than other stores. Same owners as Generation.

A third for Rough Trade - but also, for cds and maybe some vinyl, check out thrift stores like Housing Works (Their main Bookstore Cafe one has the bigger music selection I think).

If it's still there, I've gotta put in a good word for Fifth Avenue Records & Tapes in Brooklyn (Park Slope), especially if Tony is there.

I've never paid his sticker prices (high) for a record there. He always knocks a lot off at the register.

And if you head out that way, might as well head over to Permanent Records. Found some absolute gems there. It's in a weird location, sharing a floor with a telecommuter-type workplace. Oh, and you have to be buzzed in.

And Bleecker, Generation, Academy, Other, TTL et al. are all lined up fro a nice day's stroll.

Finally, on the sidewalk on Court Street (and Atlantic) in Brooklyn, in front of Trader Joe's, you'll meet record guy. (I think his actual name is Terry.)

Since Tempo brought it up, there's a cool sneaker exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum if you're into sneakers: https://www.brooklynmuseum.org/exhibitions/rise_of_sneaker_culture

They also have two other cool exhibits going on:
    FAILE: Savage/Sacred Young Minds: https://www.brooklynmuseum.org/exhibitions/faile
    Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks: https://www.brooklynmuseum.org/exhibitions/basquiat_notebooks
