Wish they didn't sell booze at any PJ concerts. Sure as he'll be more enjoyable for non boozing fans.

The fans are just following the lead of their favorite singer.
touche! i also think stone puts back a few heineken's during the show and doesn't feel any pain.

As far as I am concerned there are a few times and places where being drunk out of your gord is completely socially acceptable. Tailgate parties/football games, rock concerts, bars at 3am, etc.

People need to learn how to control themselves, agreed, but I can't get mad at anyone that gets wasted at a concert.

Life is a bitch. As long as they are not violent, or just an out and out dick, people need somewhere they can blow off steam and act the fool.

Riiiiiight spend good money to see bad ass band and then get wasted. Woo hoo.

Never good move to get wasted at public event. Dangerous and inconsiderate but have at it. Maybe why people video every minute if every event cause they are too fked up to remember?

you guys realize there is a spectrum right..

sober-buzzed-wasted and everything in between. a nice buzz while listening to pj in the park sounds blissful. being wasted sounds terrible. being sober sounds doable, but meeting friends in the park to listen to pj sounds like a good reason to celebrate with a few drinks over the hours. hopefully there is access in vip 2 and 3, but it doesnt sound like it so far..

Thank you for your interest in the Global Citizen Festival! Unfortunately, due to New York City alcohol laws, we will not be able to sell alcohol at the festival.

I hope this answers your question! Thank you for your interest in the Global Citizen Festival, and have a wonderful day!

I guess they're not selling alcohol in VIP1 though, it's included right? They couldn't do that in the other sections.

Are we sure that the no selling alcohol comment is for the VIP areas as well ??? That could be just for GA.

No I think that was pointed out a few posts prior...they are not technically selling booze in VIP1, it is open bar.
I think this is the answer some of us were not looking forward to. Honestly standing through the rest of the bands NOT named Pearl Jam w/o at least a decent buzz is a bummer.
    Gonna have to go green.

I got VIP tickets for the Dave Matthews Band when they played Central Park. The ticket price included beer & wine. We could drink in the picnic area they set up, but could not bring anything into the concert area.

Oh, well. Going to be a long ass day anyways. Boozing may help me enjoy the other acts but I'd be burnt out by the time Pearl Jam came on.
