Global Citizen Festival questions

I haven't been able to be on the internet much the past two days so I'm kinda confused by all of this. So if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

1) How exactly do I get tickets? I've seen some posts about VIP tickets that were being sold today. Is there actually a VIP section? Or is it just one big GA area?

2) How does this Global Citizen points system work? I went on their website and signed some petitions, made some tweets, sent some emails and even made a call. This earned me 12 points. But what does that mean? How many points do I need to get? And if I get to that number, do I get free tickets? Am I entered into a drawing for free tickets? I'm just clueless on all this

3) Okay so there's VIP tickets and free tickets....but are there (or will there be) tickets that can simply be purchased? Just regular old GA festival tickets that you can purchase at any time? Like If I don't win free tickets (again, I don't know if it's a drawing or what it is) by doing Global Citizen stuff, can I still buy tickets?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can clear any of this up for me.

There are separate sections for the VIP levels and regular GA. VIP are on Ticketmaster now, don't think any GA are sold. I think once you put you name in the drawing after completing the tasks , they select winners. You may have to enter each different one, not sure on that, or they keep you name in the whole time. And from what I have read in the past, finding free tickets will not be hard at all. Even walking up to the park the day of.

Okay cool. Thanks for the info. Still though, I'd rather have tickets in my possession one way or another rather than showing up hoping to score them. Even if you've heard it's easy to score them walking to the park the day of, it might not be this time with Pearl Jam playing.

1) VIP1, VIP2 and VIP3 tickets have to be purchased on ticketmaster.com. Regular GA tickets you can win for free by entering a drawing. Here is a map of where the sections are:

2) As for the points, there are specific actions that you have to take to earn the RIGHT points. There are 8 points in total. I earned them, it was super easy to do. Here is a video on how to earn these points and enter a drawing for GA:

3) You cannot purchase GA tickets, you can only win them. Only VIP tickets can be purchased.
