They just jacked them up to 5K. They were never there for 3500.

i know its for charity but i just dont get it
there were rumors of 400 a ticket
    750 a ticket, maybe 1500 a ticket

so someone knew to go in and buy at 3500 a ticket right at 10 am and to push it up to 5k a ticket. to be 30 feet closer and have free drinks? i just dont get it.. unless this vip1 section is 20 people and you get to go on stage, it makes no sense..

It was 400 for VIP1 the first year and it went up to $1500. I went and got them for $750 and it was worth it. I would have done i again for $750 but 5K is just ridiculous. Remembering the clientele from that first show, they will get it.

Its the entire section in front of the stage and all the amenities and convenience. Its worth whatever someone wants to pay for that. I was willing to pay $750. Not 5K. If someone wants to pay 5K for that, then TM will sell it otherwise they won't. These prices have been fluctuating since the onsale.

Looked at the VIP1 tix via Ticketmaster site for kicks and it made me nervous to even see that crazy dollar amount posted on the screen. I know you can't do it in one click but I had this irrational fear that'd I might unintentionally hit some type of 'Buy It Now' button :worried::who_me:

Does anyone think the inflated VIP prices are somehow related to the fact that PJ is playing this year? Not that the band or 10C would have any control over that, but because it's PJ who still has a pretty loyal following, the organizers know some of us will shell that out...? Just seems really high compared to years past...

The price is insane because you are talking about 4 huge acts. Despite what anyone may think about them, all 4 of these acts have sold out arenas in their career. The demand was going to be outrageous.

I think the prices would have been jacked up whoever was headlining. Their management wants to get paid more...

sure all 4 acts have sold out arenas - well maybe not ed sheeran, but this isnt full concerts and you could easily get front row tickets for beyonce or coldplay for around 1k each. and these are shortened concerts .. not sure someone has the overlap interest to pay 5K good cause or not.. it just seems silly.

the progression over 4 years seems outrageous too.. $400 to 750 to 1k to 5k????

sure theres lots of wealthy people blah blah but i dont think theres enough people to fill 500 person to 1,000 person pen at 5k a ticket.

The ironic part is the the VIP tent is full of the emcee celebs drinking champagne who will come out to preach to the masses that they need to do more about world hunger.

I think Kelly Curtis is/was one of the cofounders of Global Citizen. That's why PJ is headlining. I may be wrong

Seems sort of like you are poking fun at money that is going to charity.
