    I'm in.

    brutal fucking weather today.

Probably sounds disingenuous for me to say....I love cycling, but I only watch the TDF. So, I don't really know who is a favorite in this thing. I'll be watching every day, tho.

I have an old TREK 1200 and 2100...used to ride a TON....then I got cancer....I need to get off my ass and get back to riding.....I live in a great place to do it.

    Vive le Tour!

I haven't followed pro cycling very much this season. It's not easy to do since very few races are televised in the U.S. I watched a lot of the Giro via the internet, but missed all of the Classics. However, during the TDF I make it a point to watch or follow every stage via the app Cycling NewsTour Tracker. I have a Serotta Fierta road bike (titanium) and I love it. My cyclocross is a Cannondale, and my mountain bike is a Trek.

I actually think NBCS (which I get) shows a lot of pro cycling. Nice bikes you have. I'm amazed at the quality you can get in mtn bikes these days at a great price. I haven't followed road bikes but I wouldn't doubt they are still pricey since it's kind of a "show off" bunch that rides them. I used to ride with a club....the most kick ass dude rode a crappy Centurion and the fat guys had Kestrels.

Yes he did. But I understand. With all that adrenalin and chaos in a sprint finish it would be difficult to think about those few seconds that he gave to Fabs. But he did screw up.

Very nasty. And my Fabs broke vertebrae for the second time this season. Poor baby! He has had some bad luck this year. But he is tough. He finished today's stage despite the injury.

Last time I watched the tour was when Cadel Evans finished ahead of the Schleck Bros on the podium. I really liked the Schlecks. Does that fuckwad Contador still race? Any half-decent Americans?

Saw the crash and neutralization of the stage yesterday, but hard to catch the live updates at work.
I have no idea who to route for this year... I guess Frank Schleck because we share the same name, but really I just want to see some crazy breakaways and good mountain stages.

I'm not even sure if the Schlecks are in this year....and if they are, I don't think much is expected of them. I haven't watched today's stage yet....it should be a doozy.

No Schlecks. Andy retired after his serious knee injury. And I forgot why Frank isn't in it.

"What a horrible stage today. Exciting finish by Froome and happy to see Alberto "my meats tainted" Contador suck the last kilometer. But that crash was sickening - Cancellara looked like a NASCAR car flipping a over and over."

Traveling at 35 mpg to set teams up for the finish just a touch of wheels by the lone rider all scratched up below caused this pile up.

This is the rider who caused it.

Contador is a contender but coming off the Giro a month ago is generally not enough recovery. Smart thing is to do the Giro and hold out for the Vuelta. That is the best chance of winning 2 grand tours. I'm waiting for the mountains to see Quintana and Nibali emerge further in the GC.

I hope Tejay does well. I haven't seen today's standings but he's been top 3 and he's a climber/GC rider so barring any unforeseen circumstances, he should have a good tour.

Bike racing for the most part is a humble sport. But when it comes to the TDF...well it's a scene man... :)

What is with the night rebroadcasts? I came home tonight hoping to watch and damn NASCAR was on. NBC sports is so inconsistent with this and it is frustrating. They don't get that the audience for this is generally made up of cyclists and the last place we are on a Saturday morning is watching TV. I hope they don't do this tomorrow night with the Team TT. Tejay close to taking yellow!

God forbid they don't show NASCAR and bowling.

I really enjoy the TTTs. Reminds me of synchronized swimming in a way. Although due to the hills and corners the teams in today's stage seemed less fluid.
