anyone but North Carolina..sadly I think they are going to be the ones who win it. Kind of hard to believe they aren't on probation with all their sham classes.

As for me, I'm more excited than Jessie Spano on caffeine pills.

 So cool there are other Gamecock fans on this board. Never thought we'd win our first game of the tourney much less go to the Elite 8!
Yeah, it's always cool to connect. I post on a Gamecock site and there's a huge Pearl Jam fan there. It's been fun trading concert stories with him.

I'm a little surprised @intodeep hasn't posted here. I know he's a fellow USC alum. Last I saw from him was before the Columbia show last year.
So Sorry. I've not been on the board in a long time. I can't believe the run the guys and girls are on. Obviously the guys is a bit more stunning.
After the first weekend of wins i said i would not trim my beard until they lose.... my boss is a bit unhappy now but i'm hoping he has just at least another day to deal with it!!

That was a great game even if the refs tried to give it to UConn. Ready for an all SEC final tomorrow! Go Cocks!

saw the last 2 minutes and overtime. shocked at how little the woman's game has progressed. that team won 111 straight games? any decent hs boys basketball team could beat them.

Sad to see the season end, but it was a heck of a ride. Win or lose, proud to be a Gamecock.

Actually, this years team only won 36 straight games. I think they lost the Top 3 picks of the WNBA draft from last years team? If so, probably why they weren't ranked #1 at the beginning of this season. A different team this year. Though, i'm not up on the women's game so i don't know if a decent HS Boys team can beat a good College's women's team or not. Maybe they should play one>LOL

Dorsey & Brooks for Oregon better get going or they may get beat bad.

I have no idea about the high school comment but men's and women's are different sports pretty much. My college soccer team was pretty shitty, bottom half of our conference (a real good conference though). Our women's team was a national championship contender every year and have won one and been to the final four a ton. We would scrimmage them and it wouldn't even be close. Like 7-0. Completely different bodies so a completely different game.

Edit: just to add. I don't think my high school team could have beaten the women's college team.

that's like saying the best college basketball team can beat the worst NBA team.

no doubt it's about the bodies. women just aren't big or strong enough to compete. i played against girls who played high D1 hoops and almost always they were the least effective player on the court. i'm not talking playing with college level men. we are talking pick up hoops with some pretty good players but also some at best men's leagues level players. they couldn't get shots off or even dribble around guys. just a totally different level of strength and athleticism.

as for the games tonight very happy for the Zags. either team winning in that game would have been happy for. Great fun by South Carolina.

Oregon just didn't make shots. they couldn't hit shit and Brooks was really average. He was a much better player during the season than he was in the tourney. I thought Meeks pushed off on the last rebound. For some reason Carolina has gotten a lot of calls go their way this tournament going back to the Arkansas game.

This UNC-Gonzaga game is tough to watch. Seems like the refs are liking the limelight a little too much.

I didn't see the first half, but the second half was rough to watch. Refs were calling a lot and made the game pretty disjointed. Neither team could get in a rhythm.

Zach Collins was rendered useless with some poor fouls in my mind.

Congratulations NC people. Gutsy win. It wasn't easy for you, but you found a way.
