Yah but they've had years where they only played a few shows In N.A. 1999 had two bridge school shows, 2001 was pretty quiet with 3 shows (2 bridge nights and Groundwork in Seattle). 2002 only had the 4 seattle dates and a hob show. So there are definite years where the band has gone quiet. They don't do a tour but they play a few odd dates.

That being said their touring trend does seem to have changed. The Yield/Binaurual/Riot Act styles where they would do a large (for PJ) 3 leg tour and then go dark until the next album have sort of fallen away. Instead of bigger tours every few years, they seem to do small tours every year.

I wouldn't go against some US dates. Whether it s a few festival dates or an actual tour.. I'm not sure about that.

This October 22nd 2015 will mark Pearl Jam's 25th Anniversary.

    25th Anniversary!!

I'm sure Pearl Jam will have some 2015 shows in the USA. October 22nd falls on Thursday. They could totally do a sweet destination 10club only shows.

    Damn straight.

If Soundgarden is recording, I wonder how that plays into things.

And that 25 year business is scary as hell. In all seriousness, where does time go?

The last time I was told to RELAX was coming from Aaron Rodgers and a few guys from Seattle ruined that dream as well.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Yes. D is on it. Ten club only 25 yr anniversary mini tour. Lottery for 2 tickets all random seats or GA. You can only go to 1 so, as to give all members best chance to score tickets to 1 show.

When you're with a large-scale record company, someone (radio stations, suits at the label, etc) wants you to tour, and tour like a madman...they gotta sell that record.

Now that they're on their own (Monkeywrench) and have kids, are older, etc...they don't have to tour and do 70-80 shows every other year (although they probably came close more than once, but see what I'm saying?)

If smaller tours mean a longer shelf life, I'm not complaining.
