"Bold" and "Italics" missing.

I don't see any "bold" or "italics" etc button any more. IS it just my computer or have they gone the way of the emoticon button now as well??

    Now the "Bold" "Italics" etc bar (what is that bar called anyway?) is suddenly back again. That was weird. Did anyone else experience this?
