Yeah, so this album is the one to pick up (After Sleater Kinney and the Viet Cong albums). If you don't already know who he is, its J. Tillman from Fleet Foxes. This is a really gorgeous and funny record.

Here is the track he performed on Letterman last Fall.

I can't wait to give this one a full listen. Fear Fun was one of the best records of 2012, and I have a feeling I'll be saying that about Honeybear this year. I absolutely love every song I've heard so far, apart from Bored In the USA. His voice just stuns me--so clean and beautiful and ethereal! He keeps escaping me live, I hope I get to see him someday soon!

Really looking forward to Honeybear and catching him at First Avenue in April. Fear Fun was awesome, and from what I've heard of this album, it shouldn't disappoint.

I ordered tix for the Decemberists and saw this guy (these guys?) is opening for them. Been hearing a lot of good things so I guess it's time I check it out. Not familiar with Fleet Foxes. I mean, I've heard OF them, just haven't heard them.

FYI- I heard from the owner of a local shop that Subpop has recalled all of the deluxe editions (tri-colored vinyl) of Honeybear due to pressing issues.

    That sucks :(
Mine has been shipped but I haven't been notified about any pressing problems/issues as of yet

Sub Pop is a great label with great artist, but they must press their stuff at a crappy plant. The only vinyl that I've ever had issues with were both Sub Pop releases.

Might want to shoot them an email.

Not directly related to the album, but his recent cover of Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana is fantastic and definitely worth a listen: stereogum.com/1738331/father-john-misty-heart-shaped-box-nirvana-cover/mp3s/

    That's a great cover.
First time I've listened to his music, I've heard the name before but never gotten around to checking him out. I found this video of him performing on Letterman:

what an amazing performance, and those moves - takes some real conviction to just do what you want and not give a shit what anyone thinks!

OoooOOOhhhhh I'm awful at posting pictures on here, but on FJM's Faceobok, he just announced his Record Store Day release and it looks amazing. It's heart shaped and red, with a limited run of 5,000:
    A side: Honeybear alternate version
B side: I've Never Been A Woman (album outtake)

Can anyone who's good at posting pictures on here help?

    I neeeed this release!
