@pearljamtofly

Yesterday: PEARL JAM 2014, now: PEARL JAM 2015 - NO SHOWS SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME. A sign? #PJSouthAmerica2015

Would be pretty freaking sweet if they add a few Canadian dates. Maybe in Atlantic Canada? O:-)

They'll play somewhere this year. Pretty quiet for rumours though other than South America October/November. I'm guessing North America is looking at a 2012 type year.

Its only January, there's still plenty of time to schedule some North American summer dates. No reason to assume there wont be any yet.

After making it to a couple concerts for the first time in over a decade (Bon Jovi for both shows, of all bands, the ex's choice, lol), I've finally decided that boots and videos need more and will make it to the next Pearl Jam show I can (which for me means next time they're in Toronto, Canada - and if I can get tickets, lol).

So please tour North America in 2015, I haven't been to a Pearl Jam show since 1991, lol!

I may be in a similar boat - just found out some news that could keep me out too - depends when/if there are any USA shows. The sooner the better!

Oh please let it rain today.

  • Rumors have been floating around Nashville about them playing Vanderbilt football stadium this summer. Only a handful of bands have ever played there.... I could see this happening.
  • U2, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, to name a few. Heard this also, but thought we would have gotten a date by now being a destination gig. Maybe play a portion of the southern US that has been neglected for 13 years like the run up shows to Wrigley.

Thought that would be dead easy for them right?

I mean how many did Wrigley hold?

I appreciate its a little different in terms of geography, but look at the san siro last year - 70,000?

Pretty sure if PJ only plays a handful or less of North American dates, they can sell out Vanderbilt's stadium. Or it will be 90% full.

I think PJ have neglected the south for far to long to sell out a stadium that size without the support of the rest of a festival... but maybe they can prove me wrong... been wanting to visit nashville... dying to see a show at the ryman... it's on my bucket list... probably should have gone for the wilco shows last year... definitely should have went for the raconteurs in 2011... still kicking myself about that one...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

  • Not comparing vandy stadium to wrigley at all, but not only did they sell out wrigley; it was the fastest sellout in wrigley history.

Totally agree on Ryman. That place is incredible. I've seen tons of shows there. I thought about doing a crowd funded show there but never got it off the ground. My biggest struggle was trying to come up with an estimate to repair the roof- knowing mike would blow the f'ing thing off.

yeah but Paul there is a huge fan base in Italy. The memphis show wasn't even a sell out last year, and it's only a three hour drive from memphis to nashville. I just don't see it happening.

I mean if the nashville show was the only us show of the year maybe but otherwise, no way they fill that place. I hope pj proves me wrong.

  • Come to Chicago? IM IN!!

But that would be it for me. I'm not traveling for any shows. Not in the near future.
This year its going to be fishing trips, Florida vacation, maybe a couple of Cubs games, maybe Mexico late in the year. I have taken a break from shows before(08-2011 I think?), and this year is another one of those years. Not buying any concert tickets this year. So I guess I will just have to come here, and watch all of you ruin the whole concert experience, by bitching about lotteries, whining about GA, begging for tickets, and basically acting like 3 year olds.

where is this Vandy rumor coming from? i assume it would hold 50,000+ for a concert... maybe they totally skip the festival circuit this year and do a few larger regional shows on their own?

Canada makes sense... would also love a 4-5 show run at Red Rocks, which we all know is coming one of these years
