Can anyone shed some light on this "unofficial release" discogs has it written as an "epic" distribution. Here is the link.

I think it looks pretty cool personally, but i remember someone saying it was a fake, when it was on Ebay.

    it's a bootleg. a well done bootleg in this case. but like the colored no codes and avocados and whatever else that have been making the rounds, it's not a legit release/issue.

    Ok, sorry beat this dead horse but if it is a a bootleg then why did it list "Epic" as a distributor? I realize the internet can say anything but Discogs seems legit.

    Who ever added the release in Discogs did not know that for unofficial releases that have the label identification it should have been listed as Epic(2).

    If you look at the guidelines for Discogs or search Epic(2) on Discogs it will tell you that.

    Looking through the pictures on discogs however, I don't see "Epic" anywhere in the pictures.. so really the label should say "none", but maybe its identified on the back somewhere.

    When the original submitter submitted it, they probably just used the CD submission as a draft and only made format changes...not changing the Label and Catalog Number.

    I don't have one of these in my collection, so I really can't help much more.
