Pearl Jam #1 band for fantasy Firefly festival!

I was reading in today's Wilmington Delaware News-Journal that Pearl Jam was voted the number one band that people would like to see at the 2015 Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware. Wouldn't it be great if they did appear there??? It would be the first time PJ played Delaware! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

The article can be found online at Delaware online website. Here is the link: www.delawareonline.com/story/pulpculture/2015/01/08/fantasy-firefly/21440643/

I wish firefly stayed small like year 1

But PJ in Delaware will be great... it will happen one of these years

If they do then the 300 mile radius or whatever they agree upon can't be played so Philly, DC, NYC, Boston , Etc, are all out.

That's some huge markets they wouldn't be able to play.

This might be as logical a time as any for that, given they hit those markets a year and a half ago. Maybe this really could happen??

yeah no thanks on firefly. I'd rather see two shows in philly, nyc and a show in dc.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

but if they have no intention of doing an east coast run this year it could hold over the east coasters quite well

Considering PJ is going to be the motivator that causes me to go to NYC and DC, along with the possibility of getting to hang with some friends from over there.. I'm going to have to pass on Firefly. However if they DID play the festival I would try to go.. But I'd really rather go see New York or DC. Philly too. I have relatives there.

There are rumors every year. I think it was last year someone even made a fake poster that circulated on the internet prior to the announcement of the bands that had Pearl Jam as the headliner.

It was def firefly cuz I have a friend who has a friend (true story) that works for that organization. My friend asked him last year and to be a prick, the guy fanned the flames by telling my friend he couldn't say anything but that he should start making plans with a wink of the eye. Asshole was lying.

The people that book Coachella handle Firefly now so look to see a lot of overlap (just like you see with ACL and Lolla).

the American festival market is saturated and there are not enough headliners to go around

That Coachella lineup is a joke

Sadly, it doesn't look like PJ will be playing Firefly :(

Paul McCartney, The Killers, and Kings of Leon are headlining. Hopefully there is one more headliner spot that hasn't been leaked (it is a 4-day festival) but I can't see a lot of money left to spend on another big headliner like PJ.

Also, am I the only person pissed off by the 2 headliners that are not named Paul McCartney? The Killers haven't released a decent album since 2009 and Kings of Leon is an overrated mainstream festival alt-rock act. Last year the biggest difference between Lolla and ACL was Kings of Leon at Lolla and PJ at ACL so that doesn't give me a good feeling either.

    Sorry for the long rant
