Did you get to see one of Band of Horses' ACOUSTIC shows???
Definitely one of the BEST tours of the year!!

I did not unfortunately. They did open up with St. Augustine (Ben solo) and Part One acoustic, before going electric for the rest of the show. Those guys kill it live. The Acoustic Live At The Ryman album is phenomenal!

I got to see the 2 Band of Horses shows at The Ryman in 2013 they recorded for the
"Acoustic at The Ryman" album...It was an INCREDIBLE experience!!!
I had to go back down to Nashville for their acoustic tour this year too!
The band is in the studio now, working on their next album & just released a "Christmas" single!
You can check it out here:

Have you seen a few times? Were they just as good in Vegas?

Ive seen Social Distorition some... 15 times or so? first time was back in 2000 at the catalyst in Santa Cruz. This years Vegas show was REALLY good, i thought, Ness really seemed to be digging the crowd and vice versa. But to me the BEST show i've ever seen them put on had to be last year at the House of blues in Hollywood, set list was great, the crowd was crazy, and the band really seemed to be channeling the crazy lol. I think it may not be that he isnt into it anymore, he's just getting older. Im seeing them again on New Years Eve, i'll keep this in mind and try to make out if he seems bored, or just tired lol!!

I think he puts more effort into the shows closer to home. I live in the mid-west, but I have seen them several times in hollywood.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

Man, looking back I don't think I saw one show in 2014. Between rotations and taking my boards I completely missed out on live shows. I honestly can't remember the last time I went a full year without seeing a live show.

I definitely have to make up for lost time this year and will start with Jack White @ MSG!

    1. MMJ - One Big Holiday (impossible to separate the three shows)

    2. Dr. Dog @ The Electric Factory in Philly

    3. Band of Horses acoustic in Philly.

    4. PJ - Denver

    5. Phish @ The Mann in Philly

Those are the top 5 but I probably saw 20-some odd shows this year and can't really rank them all.
