Crap! Yeah I should of put both of their recent albums up in the poll! I think they are good with the new lead singer.

I've determined what the correct answer to the question is that keeps within the original parameters, 10,000 days. (technically speaking it is there most recent release...)

An album almost two decades into their existence, 10000 Days was not about if Tool still "had it" but rather wondering if this was one of there best albums.

For me, Cantrell will always be...well, he'll always be. Your saying "crap!" means you get it :)

Frank - and also from the "for me" perspective - it was never about proof or validation or anything else. I just fell into it, and it washed over me.

Still does and I hope it always will.

One of their best, for sure (if not THE!).

    Well said.

    1990 - 1993 = early 90's
    1994 - 1996 = mid 90's
    1997 - 1999 = late 90's

Applicable in any decade. . .

"Early" gets 4 years and the other two only get 3?

    This is an outrage!

Lightning bolt still spun a lot here, just a great collection of songs. King animal is great too, tend not to listen to smashing pumpkins later stuff as I preferred the chemistry of the early line up . Soul asylums album delayed reaction is pretty cool too.

went with PJ, but there are others I thought were good/ok ones

Nine Inch Nails- Hesitation Marks ('13) (ok technically they are late 80's :P )
Alice In Chains- The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here ('13)
Filter- The Sun Comes Out Tonight ('13)
Mazzy Star- Seasons Of Your Day ('13)
Weezer- Everything Will Be Alright In The End ('14)
    Radiohead- King Of Limbs ('11)
    Beck- Morning Phase ('14)
    311- Sterolithic ('14)
Foo Fighters- Sonic Highways ('14) although i prefer Wasting Light ('11)
Dave Matthews Band- Away From the World ('12)

i would say QOTSA for late 90's (debut album came out in '98)

Yeah, QOTSA for sure, if 1998 counts. I didn't even think of that when I voted for LB, since 1998 was the year it felt like the 90s were over anyway.

I do like King Animal. But I have to admit I very rarely get passed the first 5 songs.
