My first show and now it's old enough to vote... Happy 18th Birthday to one of the best shows of all time!

    My first show also. Life changer. Seeing # 47 in Cincinnati
    I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

    ...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

    My first as well.  16 year old me was left to fend for herself while my big brother made his way to the pit.   Thankful for this band, the 57 shows since then, and all the wonderful people I have met along the way.

    Vault vault vault!!! I’ve never heard this show but just by virtue of the setlist and being a 96 era show it is nearly my holy grail.

    We took the bus to that island. On the way back after the show some really young girl puked on the bus. All over the floor. I think I would have rather been stuck in traffic.

    I was on the rail at Randall’s between Ed and mike and first row seats at msg 9/11/98 between Ed and stone. Talk about spoiled.  ;)

    I have a story about this show. My boyfriend at the time and I took mushrooms for the show. He had to use the restroom. While he was gone a random.guy came over and asked me I could watch his backpack while he walked around for a bit. Since this was pre 9/11 I thought nothing of it. My boyfriend was from Ireland where he was familiar with the dangers of unattended bags. Right when he got back the first thing he asked me was whose backpack that was and since we were on mushrooms he got me really paranoid that the bag was going to explode. I made us move seats (the whole venue was GA). But I kept watching the bag and feeling guilty that if it exploded it would be my fault if people got killed because I didn’t report it. At one point I wanted to find a cop, but I just kept watching the bag from across the venue. After about 20 minutes (which felt like an hour) the guy came back and put on his backpack and sat down with it Then I enjoyed the show. Whenever I think about this show, this is what I think about.
