I could be missing, fallen overboard
a cork dropped in the dark, floating alone
twisting this way and that
wondering which current to ride home
needing a constellation to mark the sky
wanting some hint, some shimmer of light to catch my attention
yearning for something astonishing and lovely
what wants to aimlessly bob on top of the water?
