Kind of related story to share.... I was in New York this weekend with my kids. We walked through Strawberry Fields which is a section of Central Park devoted to John Lennon. There is a mosaic in the sidewalk entrance.
There were so many people gathered around taking pictures and a man was playing and singing Imagine beautifully. I looked around and heard so many languages being spoken, every one other than English, it seemed. Many in the crowd were softly humming or singing along...people gathered together and sharing in the imagination of the common human desire for peace. It was a beautiful moment.
This song is so simple but so powerful and so timeless. Eddie sang it so beautifully. Please release it.
