Was Leeds the longest show ever for PJ

JB128716JB128716 Posts: 2,064
Not counting any rain delayed shows (Wrigley) was Leeds the longest show? I read in a local review the show was 3hrs and 40 minutes.

The funny thing is my friend Manuel said right before the band came on, "The band is not on stage yet. That means it's going to be a short show."

Whoops. Lol

It must be one of the longest, for sure.
If I remember correctly the band was on stage 8.24 (I looked at my watch just as the houselights went out) and they were off stage 11.45/11.46-ish.

So I would say it was 3 hours and 20 minutes, 3 hours and 40 minutes is not correct.

Though a long show, I have a feeling that State College 03 and Randalls island 96 were a tad longer, but I could be wrong of course.

You can't really judge on set list alone though when there are sometimes songs like Lukin, Wasted Reprise, etc. that are only 30 seconds. It was a long show, maybe top 10, but not the longest.

I could be way off, but I feel like Ottawa 2005 was long too . . . in the range of 3hrs or so? Or maybe just over 2.5 hours. Anyone know the approximate length of that show?

Also when comparing shows you've been to and bootlegs, the encore breaks add several minutes (they are cut on the boots)

Glad I got some props on this thread. :-) Yes, the list is based on official bootleg running times. When the official euro 2014 bootlegs come out the list may need some new entries.

it would be great to see St. Paul 2014 be number one on that list. :-D

As someone stated earlier you can't go by the number of songs because Leeds had more than a few extended jams.

San Diego had lots of chat. Phx,Oak and Leeds all longer in terms of musical content I'd wager with a ? against Phx.

Total running time 3 hours 21 minutes 22 seconds.

It includes the complete encore breaks & 2 minutes of applauding at the end of Indifference that will probably be cut from the official bootleg release.

But still, Leeds '14 will be listed in the top 10 longest Pearl Jam show's in history!
