*A CALL FOR VINYL*

edited April 2014 in The Porch
This is my petition for vinyl release of what can't be bought regularly. If we tell them what we want we just might get it. I'm asking for any way possible for fans of music, Pearl Jams Music, to be available for purchase. The entire catalog on vinyl. All albums, Ten-Lightning Bolt (including Lost Dogs and RVM).

All studio albums in normal packaging at a minimum, feel free to release exclusive, limited numbers at your leisure or how you see fit. We just want the studio stuff available and are willing to pay for it. This great music should be readily available on all formats.

Friends please add your thoughts and sign this "petition".

Wind this thing up.

I'm down for this. While we are at it how about they finally make some pearl jam cases to store LP's?

I'm in for no code and binaural. Non limited reissues would be awesome.

I'm ready to complete the studio albums on vinyl but I don't want to go bankrupt doing it!

I would LOVE if the 10club would offer quarterly a 10club exclusive live bootleg pressed on vinyl release. For example. On January 1st they send out their newsletter for this presale. Fan's have 5 day's to place an order. 1 vinyl per 10club member. Offer closes. On April 1st, the next 10club exclusive vinyl presale begins. And etc.. That would be pretty freaking sweet!

    Good call image

And it would be swell if releases like the Benaroya Hall show would be included in this as well (yeah, I mention that every time I can! image )

I like the idea of a slipmat and a case for the 45s too!

As long as we can actually buy them, with proper notice, and not have to pay the fucking flippers on e-bay who pledge through their tenclub membership not to resell shit, but still do, then I am in.

I just paid 150 for a sealed copy of no code. I immediately opened and played it. I would love to own every studio release but i would put my family out doing it. Please do this 10c!

So what if PJ took advantage of the prices people are willing to pay and did it for a good cause? Maybe print like 5000 of each album in various colored, high quality Vinyl and sold them exclusively through their website (one a piece) for 100 bucks a pop with all money going to a different cause for each album? Their contributions would be the production cost. So $500k for each album would be five million raised. It would appease the collectors but still be enough copies to satisfy the people who spin vinyl (I think) and the band wouldn't be treated like it was a cash grab. I would pay 100 bucks for a good cause and good music. How many people here would? If there was still demand after that, print more, after all, it would be for charity. If Hootie and the Blowfish can donate THE RIGHTS of their biggest hit single, surely one of the most charitable bands in the world could do something like this. That's something I could get behind!

Although I can stand behind a good cause, I would rather just be able to purchase the studio albums locally or here in the shop when I want like I can the cd's. They could certainly release a quarterly limited edition for $100 or more like demetrios above stated for a good cause and I would be with that.

And yes I am trying to pacify my own wants by wanting the lowest cost out there. :D
