^Werth’s 39. It’s about time. Maybe he’ll come to the reunion now.

How about this beauty? Not sure there’s been many sports logos over the years more perfect than this one

On the other side of things, those blue uniforms are absolutely horrid.

Get out of here with that nonsense
Turrible.  The Phillies have great uniforms in general, but I can't deal with those.  Couldn't watch the game last night.  I like the day game ones and obviously the pinstripes.

I've actually never liked the cream day jerseys.
I know people don’t like those hats I think, but this surprises me. They’re really clean

Yeah it's the hat that really ruins it for me. Way too much blue. And I just think the home unis should have the pinstripes

i agree. they look like a child's pajamas.

i'd like to see them go with the red caps with the blue bill. those are their best hats.  don't think they use those enough.

I like the dark red and the curly, white, P - that was the 1980s one, right?
That is my favorite.  They have good caps, though.  Baby blue is shit, but I like all of the others I have seen.

I really like the powder blue jersey's.  Also agree with the cream colored ones, not a huge fan of those.

The throw that Vasquez made after being hit on the liner was as good a baseball play as I can imagine someone making.  Really, really, impressive.

So they emerge from that 6 week death march 8 over .500 with the easiest part of the schedule on tap this month. Now don’t lose a bunch of games you should win!

Ten games over .500. They’re 47-37 and McCarthy said on the broadcast that they didn’t win their 47th game until August 25th last year. Crazy.

I guess they're definitely buyers now right? They's on pace for 91 wins and just perusing the schedule, with no scientific method at all, I'd say they land at 88-89 wins. That's crazy.

I am not selling everything for Machado. But you do have to get someone right? Offensively, I'd say someone like Moustakas or Beltre and pitching maybe one of Hamels/Happ/Ross - just someone to take the back end of the rotation.

I'd even say if you're gonna go all out for a player I might go for Arenado since you at least get an extra year of control with him. Plus, you'd still have the funds to go after many other players in free agency. Hell, possibly even Machado to play short.

EDIT: I can't believe I'm talking about any of this.

Machado is not a shortstop.  Goodness gracious, his range left is dare I say worse than Jeter.

Hate these Yankees rumors, though he wouldn't be playing short for them, obviously.

I get you can make someone play where ever the hell you want them to play or they can ride the bench, but isn't he all about pissing and moaning to play short?

He is. They asked him after the game and he said "I'm a shortstop".  I don't get it.  Yesterday was the first time I noticed it, not sure I have watched many yanks/o's games this year, but it was really really really bad.  Wouldn't a really good third baseman with a cannon of an arm have more value than a shitty shortstop?
