So I'm watching the 2014 St. Louis show and Eddie is WEARING A PEARL JAM SHIRT!! Looks like a baseball that has a face ripped in it and it says Pearl Jam above it. I apologize if this has already been noted.

What is his reprimand? This appears to be a blatant if not excessive violation of rule #19

I only violate this rule when I go to Pearl Jam shows. I will be wearing my PJ shirts to Steely Dan and Neil Young this summer. ;)

I'd argue you should. Unless you are on the field playing, adults look ridiculous in sports jerseys (especially Hockey and Football jerseys which are made to have pads underneath). Wear a t-shirt/ wear a sweatshirt and even a hat. But there should be a don't be that guy rule about jerseys.

I think grown men in basketball jerseys look absurd. And wearing a t-shirt underneath doesn't help. Football, baseball and hockey I'm fine with. I love my Red Sox and Bruins jerseys. If you're buying them so they are big enough to fit pads under. . .get the next size down

I wear a basketball jersey when I go to the beach in Mexico. I also love to wear my NFL jersey on game day. The newer Nike ones are made for fans and have a slim line cut to them.

Baseball and Soccer jerseys look the least ridiculous because at least they are cut like shirts. But I do think dudes should wear normal clothes going out in public. Even if it is to a game. There are plenty of branded items you can wear.

^^ I'm guessing that people who care never spent time in art school. It's amazing what some kids came to school in. You know what? It didn't matter in the slightest. I didn't care then. I don't care now.

I agree with Rule #19, and I don't know why. For some reason, it's always weird to me when I see people at concerts wearing the shirt of the band they're seeing, or the shirt of a closely related band -- for example, a Mother Love Bone shirt at a Pearl Jam show. Personalized/customized stuff also gets on my nerves for some reason, like a "Vedder #10" jersey or something of that ilk. I've always worn my band shirts when I'm doing something totally unrelated to music.

Sports jerseys/t-shirts/caps are totally appropriate for wearing to a game, however, because in that case you are supporting a particular side in a match between two opponents.

I like the way youre thinking ,Sarah.Concert shirts are great for every activity except viewing a concert of the band on the shirt.

We had 8 of us going to a Def Leppard concert last Thursday. One of my buddies shows up in a New Del Leppard shirt he got at Lucky Brand.3 of my other guest almost on que started to bust his balls about rule 19.I had no idea they knew.
    It was pretty funny.
My Friend borrowed a Foo fighters shirt to wear instead.

It's funny how seriously people take this idiotic rule. Wear what you want to wear to a concert. I like seeing shirts from past tours.
