When I'm running I like upbeat stuff typically.

Vegas from '03 is a pretty awesome show for that.
    here for the music...

It completely depends on how fast you plan to run it in. If you're running a half you can usually get by with a nice 1:30 - 2:00 festival set. If you're running a full then you need a serious 40 song monster show or a back to back Alpine Valley. The last thing any runner wants to hear is a show restart with a Long Road at mile 20.

    Lol so true!

I love 7/11/03 Mansfield starting with the main set for long runs/rides. Can't keep to breakerfall to brain of j... Really gets me moving and there are few talking breaks. Ed also says at the beginning "let's do this!" Which is very inspirational to me.

Given the longevity of the run I would put sometime into making your own mix. Throw on whatever songs you want and get you to your anticipated time length.

    Wind this thing up.

I have found that half or fulls are hard to run to a show.
If you pick one you went to you remember the moments then start to pick it apart.
If you pick one you didn't go to, the surprise is nice but you don't have the connection.

I recommend picking highlights from shows and studio releases.
What you don't need is Last Kiss when you feel like giving up.

Make sure you have Sonic Reducer in there..I just shoveled 21inches of snow and that tune helps the pace..

I dunno. I used to listen to music while running, but dropped it. I like so much more to get lost in my thoughts/breathing, and footsteps... I love running without music now.

When I did, I couldnt imagine using a boot. Shuffle was the best way to go for me. Variety. Slogging along, then "Slam" by Onyx or something would come on.
