edited December 2013 in The Porch
I've just got home after a 15.5 hour night shift. Not sure how long I can actually stay awake.

If a 2nd date is announced, when do you think it would be??

Don't want to sleep brought it and miss out!!

There's only upper tier left for the 1st night at the moment. Last year's Manchester night 2 wasn't announced until mid-afternoon but that might not mean a thing.

Oops, sorry if someone saw that I created a new thread about 2nd Leeds show ( I deleted it now). I quickly looked at TM uk and saw 2 entries for Leeds... it was that they have separate entry for standing and seated... once again, sorry

But keep looking at ticketmaster and livenation sites. It will pop up there if its coming

I imagine they will announce more UK dates. Just got my Milton Keynes ticket...very pricey for Pearl Jam. I just noticed the doors open at 2pm, are we in for a mini festival here? is this why the tickets are over £70? Can't wait to see Lightning Bolt toured.

Tier 3 isn't as bad as you might think. It's a purpose built venue with a max distance from stage of 68m compared to over 100m at similar arenas.

I would think that before a second date, they would have the 'sold out' for the first one.

Maybe also waiting to see if MK tix reach a certain level before adding another date. Need to sell that one... Not holding my breath!

Yeah, I think the first will need to sell out too. I'm sure it will, but maybe not today.

MIght be a drawn out affair then....

To think the Foos sold out 2 nights there in a matter of a few hours (the Saturday one going very quickly). But then tix were only £46 if I remember well (certainly under £50)..

If that is the case, they can pop over to Ireland for a show.

Gigs at Milton Keynes usually have more than one support with the first band going on around 4. The gigs I've been to there have usually had 3 support acts.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

May be a bit late now... could get an email before hand for the second date rather than just popping up on a ticket site.. or a tactical move to sell more MK?

Personally I think they will want to sell more MK tickets, so I would surprised at a second Leeds to be honest! But what do I know!

Hi Becky, over 50,000 people have tried to purchase tickets this morning; it's a simple case of demand outstripping supply. We advise to keep trying - tickets that are not purchased within five minutes online are released back on sale.

The demand is there for a second show...

There are still loads of Level 3 seats left. Maybe people not wanting to buy those, holding off for a possible Leeds 2 with better seats or GA. So Leeds not sold out with MK needing to sell a decent amount of tix (and people maybe holding back on those until the support is announced), wondering if there will be a second show. Would love it...

Had a quick look at the Leeds Arena site to check the seating plan and looks like there are only 8 seats left on there (there were about 60 earlier in the week). Do we think this means another date might be added or am I being a bit wishful?

Yes it's defo gonna sell out...

    2012 - 2 Nights in Amsterdam / Berlin / Manchester
    2014 2 Nights in Amsterdam / 1 Night Vienna 1 Night Berlin...

I reckon Manchester and Berlin O2 were much bigger venues than Leeds and Wuhlheide - having been to all the venues bar Vienna...

Even with MK show they can easy sell out a second date in Leeds - the schedule allows for it.

    I think they'll do it.

    Come on boys...!!!
Remember how you felt at Reading with that reception after not touring UK enough....

Yes, but with two Leeds shows can they sell enough tickets at MK to even half fill the venue and/or not make the promotor lose money.

    4 tickets left this morning.

Would be nice to have a 2nd Leeds date and that would sell out too.

If they want to sell more tickets to MK then maybe they should announce some support bands.

Interesting, if you do a straight Google search for "Pearl Jam", on the right hand side of the results page under "Upcoming events", you'll see there's actually a show on the 9th June (the day after Leeds), but in Milton Keynes!

I don't think you can read too much into this though...???

It's strange with Leeds, it sometimes there's 4 tickets left then you back and it jumps to 12 then to 14 then back to 6. I am hoping for a 2nd date but think it's becoming more and more unlikely the longer it doesnt sell out

Yes, good point, you're probably right in that the there will be nervousness about MK numbers -- but I don't think the majority of people that would buy a ticket to Leeds 2 either don't already have a ticket for MK or more likely - won't be going to MK anyway...
There's a lot of people in the North of UK not getting enough shows who probably don't follow the band around as much as the guys on the forum here...

I would say there's another 11 - 13k casual (ish) fans in Liverpool / Manchester / Leeds / Newcastle / SCOTLAND etc etc who would go to a Leeds 2 show >>> Not to mention about 3k at least who already have tickets to Leeds 1!!!!

But I fear you may be right that they won't risk the impact on MK numbers.... but if they want my commercial advice (ha ha like they need it!!!) -- they are 2 different markets --- and a second Leeds date will sell out --- Without some actual advertising MK won't sell out... Like the Foo's did with TV advertising and loads of Radio 1 (Chris Moyles support)... If they pulled on their legendary status and put it out to the masses they can sell out MK to the FF / GD brigade....
And I enjoyed FF at MK too!!

Anyways ,,, still hoping they do a second Leeds date as I pulled out of Amsterdam for financial reasons with this long shot in mind........ If that doesn't happen I'll have to get on stub hub at this rate.....

    COME ON LEEDS 2!!
